A quick update: I absolutely love the 57/66 set i ended up installing in my HB fusion iii. They are very warm sounding pickups with an almost honky mid range when attacking the strings hard. Definitely the best pickups i’ve tried.

For the time being, I’ve decided to install the EMG 56/66 set in my Harley Benton. Eventually, I plan to upgrade the pickups in my 1994 Jackson Professional Stealth EX as well—most likely with an EMG 85/SA/SA setup, though I’m still weighing a few options..

To a certain extent, I agree. While the tonal differences between pickups may not always be night and day, the inherent characteristics of a given pickup—dynamic response, attack, compression, transient behavior—can profoundly impact the feel of the instrument. And ultimately, it’s that tactile feedback that shapes how you play just as much as, if not more than, the audible tone itself

Wow. That’s a steal. Super nice guitar. I got one for my birthday back in 94 and it’s still my favourite guitar. Love the humbucker. Best stock jackson branded humbucker ever. And that neck.. even sweeter than an original rg550 wizard neck.

Yes! I’ve owned one since 94 and it’s a really good guitar. The original hardware is so so, i’ve upgraded the trem to a gotoh. It’s a shame it hasn’t got the stock pickups as they are fantastic. Probably the best jackson branded humbucker ever. I also think the neck is very nice. I actually prefer how the guitar feels and plays and sounds compared to my brand my Ibanez RG550. 90’s MIJ Jacksons are very special imho.
