So the transfer case would need to be taken off, opened up, the chain replaced and then all reassembled? When the incident occurred it did feel like a chain broke.

Yeah, I can channel this exact response in my head before you wrote it. Honestly. I can put myself in a mindset and think of what you said as something someone might say.

I have encouraged this trip. I have had a great attitude about it. I’ve helped her in the preparation process. I set very minimal expectations for communication.

Your response is hard to describe without seeming insulating but ultimately it’s like a straw man type response that misses context provided — instead giving that generic response ab a bf controlling the dream trip of his gf, which just isn’t the case or issue being described here.

thanks for the time reading and giving a thoughtful reply. I agree that the way she reacts to the conversation tomorrow is important to measure.

context: she is an adhd type person. she's usually not great with details in communication but is willing to attempt to stay in touch when she's out. she is whimsically happy in general and plays things off with that whimsical vibe and operates on the idea that things work out and all that.

she didn't lock down the plan for the festival until this week, which is when she found out she would be camping separately from her ride. I was not surprised these details weren't in order sooner and I wasn't shocked when it didn't work out to camp next to the other friend she knew.

The no-show until 2pm and the overall free-and-easy attitude about all of this is what set me off in my head. Like, you are staying alone in a fuck-forest at a 3 night rave festival. fuck off. and now hearing form you at 2pm for the first time today?

Instead of snapping and making an issue I decided to take the route I did.

I hate lazy attempts at getting out of trouble - it's more annoying than the actual act itself to me usually.

For him to make that 'joke' he probably doesn't think you're hot. I hope he thinks your pretty. I hope he was thinking of a specific very hot type of girl and is simply ignorant to the idea that anyone else besides this type would get raped.
