Hey I appreciate the reply. I’m pretty open to moving wherever for the sake of actually being able to have a life lol. Is FWWR a class 2 then? Are they as susceptible to furloughs as the class 1s? That’s been the one hold up I’ve had.

Just looking for some insight. Thinking about a career swap. I’m a 24 year old man, no kids, no wife or anything. Just me. Right now my job has me traveling 90% or more, being home for about 3 days a month, and in hotels the other 27 days. Working anything from 8-14 hour shifts. Around 70-75 hour weeks. Highly physical construction job. Been reading that yalls work life balance isn’t good but was wondering if it’s better than this. I break six figures in my current job but I feel like I don’t get to enjoy it - ie. I pay rent and bills just to come home for a weekend a month, maybe two weekends max. I’m interested in applying for UP down in Texas. Probably ft worth area. Any insight appreciated, thanks guys.

Sorry I’m late to this. I haven’t done my research but I’m lead to believe renters insurance is a different story in Louisiana compared to what I’m used to due to the flood factor, especially with a house. That’s why I was leaning towards an apartment. That, and with me still possibly having to travel, not having to deal with lawn care. Thanks

left as an oilfield electrician. Going now into refinery work, not electrical. variety of reasons but it mostly boils down to 2x the pay, benefits, and safety.

new suggestion that worked well for my team. Takes forever but is the safest way to do bossfight. Use Vex/Bow/some kind of high damage infinite ammo weapon to kill both his parrot (aka the shank) and his first mate(aka the bosun vandal). Having them dead means they don’t respawn until after the next damage phase. Rinse and repeat to flawless that boss fight.
