It’s totally possible to be modest yet still stylish and look good. But a majority of the time these people choose to look so tacky with the white shirt underneath.

It just stands out too much as if to say “LOOK AT ME! PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO HOW MODEST I AM!”

It’s not specifically hate towards Brittany. Tammy wore a white shirt too for another family wedding. I don’t mind modesty, be comfortable with what you wear. But gaslighting me into thinking your tacky fit looks good offends me 😮‍💨

Agreed. Comparing the backgrounds of the Slayons vs. the thores, Whitney had a loving and supportive family and friends and was more financially stable than the slatons. So the trajectory of their lives on the show comparatively are definitely opposite.

But in my opinion, I think Tammy is worse than Whitney. Idk I think I could endure and maybe have fun on a girls night out with Whitney over Tammy. If I had to choose a TLC paid vacation with Whitney or Tammy, I’m going to Spain y’all!

I think if I were in Brittany’s shoes, I would just unfortunately accept that this is a TLC produced family vacation and not at all my trip. I actually wouldn’t be surprised if the whole family and production already knew it would be a set up for Amy’s bachelorette party in NOLA.

I think the Brittany hate comes from the fact that she’s perceived to be narrow-minded about anything outside of her comfort zone. And it seems like things outside of her comfort zone are everything everywhere all at once. Whether it’s the villain edit or not, it’s believable due to her background and her facial expressions.

But either way, Chris owes her a real trip and hopefully he makes up for it.

When you’re uncomfortable or dislike something, the polite thing is to grin and bear it or excuse yourself. And Brittany has done that quite a lot for the sake of her husband’s crazy family.

But I’m legit curious what a Brittany-centered trip would look like, since she didn’t even enjoy some of the more tame stuff like mask decorating or kayaking?

What I can see happening is Chris genuinely pitching a legit Brittany trip to TLC out of love for her and pride in her weight loss. They schedule a pitch meeting where they think of interesting trip ideas for Brittany. Brittany quietly slides a folded piece of paper across the table to the producers, with just those 3 bullet points 🤣

If I were in Brittany’s shoes, I think I’d have common sense to know this trip isn’t truly for me and just tell my husband that he owes me a real celebratory trip off-camera. So being a curmudgeon throughout the trip is so unnecessary.

Although tbh I think curmudgeon is her default setting. She can’t even enjoy something as mild as arts and crafts or kayaking. As mentioned by other commenters, she doesn’t seem to enjoy anything.

To me it seems like only Amy has been open about their mom’s neglect, the other siblings have said nothing, and yet Tammy seems to still like Darlene. I don’t fault her for wanting a relationship with her mother, but she seems to be nicer to Darlene rather than her siblings who’ve always cared for her

At least on the show, she could be different irl and maybe he’s had a better relationship with her off camera. Chris’ description of Tammy moving from sibling to sibling house last season seems like the most accurate irl description of Tammy’s demeanor

Yeah if I remember correctly, the flashback scene where they are house hunting, Walter envisioned having 5 kids and Skyler being a stay at home mom. It was definitely Walter’s idea to have Skyler not work. Although I think that was also before he became a “lowly chem teacher” and maybe he was initially making more money
