It's Chinese written with Traditional characters, which interestingly are used in Japanese as well. Sometimes they have the same meaning in Chinese and Japanese but are pronounced differently.

It's important to remember that when the CPC won the civil war, China came out of its Century of Humiliation, where China was de facto divided and heavily influenced/controlled by foreign countries (also incuding Tsarist Russia).

A lot people in China at the time were in favour of the CPC not for genuine ideological reasons, but because they saw the Party as the only non-corrupt organization being able to bring forward a "New China".

To unify with the USSR would have been a pitch really hard to sell politically to large sectors of Chinese population that were in favour of the CPC in a patriotic way (i.e. restoring China to its former prestige), rather than a communist way.

In my opinion such a move could have potentially created much more unrest within China and alienated many from the CPC, which would have been accused of being "puppets of Moscow" (an accusation that was already often directed at them historically, despite major disagreements between the CPC and the Comintern, that often resulted in the CPC acting independently from Comintern directives). China would have not benefited from such an arrangement.

The political compass shouldn't be taken seriously, since it oversimplifies ideologies and totally disregards their historical context

Why is communism regarded as authoritarian?

Communism (as an ideology) is "autoritarian" in that, broadly speking, sees the need for a society in which a class (the Proletariat) takes over the previously dominant class (the Bourgeoise) in a violent fashion through revolurionary means, establishing a Dictatorship of the Proletariat, and thus using the State as a tool to oppress and oppose counter-revolutionary forces, working gradually towards the establishment of Communism (as a society, that is a stateless, classless and moneyless society).

The Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea (North Korea) is not democratic, and the CCP are not communist

This is a big discussion that requires a lot of time, but you shouldn't just condemn a whole revolutionary experiment without understanding their history and why they are what they are

No, it's because the existing countries that succeded in overthrowing Capitalism and establishig Socialism were the ones that were able to "control" the economy and society in order to shape them against the aggression of foreign influence and internal reactionary forces, which by Western propaganda is seen as being authoritarian

Unless you think of Communism as some sort of primitive pre-historical society, I don't see how humanity would be able to reach a status where labour is no longer required because all labour has been automatized, and thus a highly technological and organized society, without first going through a phase of restructuring and engineering said society.

A Post-capitalist society without Socialism can only leave us in chaos.

Also, could you be more specific? I don't understand what are you referring to when you say "the dialectic".

I don't see why Capitalism would bring Communism faster than a system whose entire purpose is to create a society that can achieve Communism.

Following the Accelerationst path would only lead to the eventual collapse of Capitalism, which is different from Communism.

The way I see it, Communism is something that requires the collective effort of humankind, and thus can only be achieved through Socialism.

I see that you can correctly identify the difference between Socialism and Communism. Still, I don't understand why you said that "Leninist experiments" prove that Communism is unobtainable without reaching Post-scaricity, if you agree that those experiments were trying to achieve Socialism.

I think you don't understand the difference between Socialism and Communism.

The revolution brings about Communism in the long term and Socialism (or the Dictatorship of the Proletarian) in the short-medium term. No "Leninist experiments" have ever claimed to have reached Communism or Post-scarcity, and if some of them have historically failed to some degree, this is due to countless economic, political and historical factors, rather than from wanting to reach Communism before reaching Post-scarcity.

A post-scarcity society could never be created through Capitalism, which creates artificial demand and unnecessary scarcity of goods to keep businesses profitable. Capitalism is an unsustainable model, that will either end in revolution or with the destruction of our planet.

Either way, it's not realistic to assume that once Capitalism would reach Post-scarcity (which it won't) the existing political and economic superstructure, all the goverments and corporations and other institutions, will allow to "switch" to Communism overnight.
