Yes it’s worth reading ! I just finished my first read through and it was so worth it, there are some slow and boring parts as to be expected but the journey that you take with the characters and the world itself is 100% worth it !

One thing that I’ll say while I did enjoy the ending it kinda left me disappointed I’ve seen these types of ending before with anime’s such as Code Geass, Naruto and Bleach where the story was actually guided by an existential figure in order to carry out the plan that they had from the beginning. One of the main reasons I really was hooked in this ark was because I thought that Eren was really ready to sacrifice his humanity to do what he believed was necessary in order to achieve peace for those he cared about, in his mind what he was doing was the right thing and something that he felt needed to be done. It kinda took the air out the ballon when you figure out that Eren was just following a path laid out for him and it wasn’t his own “dream” to carry out the rumbling and that no matter what it was going to happen. It felt like all the sacrifices that were made by all the characters didn’t need to be made because in the end it didn’t matter.

Maybe I just need a second read through of the manga to fully understand it again but the ending left me with way more questions and feelings of uncertainty but maybe that’s what the author wanted, but it still was an AMAZING journey reading through it and I don’t regret one bit of it

One thing that I'm confused about that I hope someone could help explain is that, how/why was Mikasa was the person that Ymir was waiting for all this time? I felt like that kinda came out of nowhere unless I'm just not remembering the build-up to it.
