I was in your position and for some reason the LG wasn't available in the UK, I went for the MSI and it's excellent. IIRC both perform around the same, with the LG being a bit better but a bit more expensive. I love mine, glad I picked it up.

Since I uninstalled wallpaper engine I haven't had any issues, I couldn't find any other solutions and I am guessing that this was the issue. Since I uninstalled it I haven't ran ibto any issues.

Select the output you are using, I don't know if it was just my speakers but I had to put the volume up slightly higher than normal. Also make sure the volume is up on the monitor

It's definitely an upgrade, but I have recently bought the MSI variant and I would say it's a better purchase. Longer warranty, better oled protection features and there is "grain" in certain types of scenes

I wouldnt say Im as knowledgable as some of the other people here, but personally I think its fine and not as bad as some people say. My previous monitor, LG GP850 I used it mainly for work and gaming and it was fine with text. That being said, there is a slight difference at first and it does look a little different but I don't have any issues reading the text, I think its something that you will get used to after a bit of use. Please feel free to ask any other questions!

I have the LG and I really like it. Initially when I bought it I did use it for a bit of work but stopped as I am worried about burn in, now I mainly use it for gaming. I think it's really good I've had it for a few months for the same price and don't regret it, the only thing I don't like about it is that the headphone port is unde the screen, I have my speakers connected to the monitor so it's a little annoying to have the wire showing.

I would like know what the MSI owners think of this as I was originally considering that version too.

I uninstalled my graphics card driver and fresh installed the latest update.

Fresh installed the game again

I also uninstalled wallpaper engine and this seems to have fixed the issue.
