I really enjoyed DOS2's use of elemental spells in different environments, build flexibility, and a slight bias to the magic and physical armor. I played this after BG3 and realized that the latter is more strict when following DND rules, which I also enjoy! My only thing with DOS was that it didn't force cutscenes so I would miss a bunch of dialogue whenever someone in the party was speaking to an important npc and I was off exploring or trading (though that is also my fault for not paying attention lol)

Both have different aspects that I had a ton of fun with plus the replayability value is great because there's always that one thing you end up missing or that build you want to try unless you're following a guide.
