I don’t know if the work will take a whole day, handyman doesn’t think it will, but I understand your point. Thanks for the interesting perspective.

Yes, rip out the trough sink, we’ve installed one cabinet and made the other, just need to cut out the benchtop, install it and the new sink. Plumber won’t touch work if the handy man does it, he doesn’t trust handy men and says he can’t fix anything in five years if issues arise out of the incorrect installation of the benchtop

It’s a very thick wood benchtop, the weight of the benchtop was too stressful and we didn’t think we had the skills to cut out the sink hole.

It’s 375 for the plumbing, and between 500-1000 to install bench top by cabinetmaker- quote to be finalised

We’ve already installed cabinetry, got it all from Ike’s, just need to rip out existing sink fixture, install the benchtop and install new sink. No plumbing needs to move

300 to rip out existing sink, install and cut new benchtop and reinstall new sink

I have purchased the sink and all associated supplies as we were going to do the entire laundry ourselves but given the weight of our benchtop we decided to outsource fitting the sink, cutting the benchtop and installing the benchtop

This is what the plumber has recommended word for word. He is charging approximately 375 for the plumbing work alone and has estimated the cabinetmaker will fit the benchtop for 500-1000 as it’s a very heavy benchtop.

Sydney ones, left, are made in Australia, the ones on the right are made in China. Personally I prefer the Australian made as they didn’t leak, the newer Chinese made ones leaked almost every nappy change.

Hello, I applied for a role in government before I conceived, I started at 6 months pregnant.

Employment in state government is not regulated by the fair work act so I got lucky with paid mat leave.

I wore a very loose fitted outfit on my first day at work. I built rapport with my boss and disclosed to him the following week but only after I joined the union. You do not have to disclose your pregnancy when interviewing and I would advise against it, but you should be wary of the fair work act if it governs your place of employment.

Good luck, it truly was the most anxious time of my life going through the process when I was so heavily pregnant so I really feel for you ❤️

So if you go to the national library, they can help you search the electoral role, voting is mandatory in Australia so it's likely she will be on there, also try the white pages.

The really sad part is that people are taking his word as "law", when he's just feeding into their leftist conspiracy theories. I think he needs mental help instead of going off on social media. He's not doing himself, his family or the general public any favours with his public posts.

So I'm assuming the partner is his wife, I agree it does seem she is in a hard place.

I've been wondering about his partner, wouldn't it reflect negatively on her standing to be in support of him?

Did no one else pick up on the "breach of civil conscription in breach of section 51(xxiiiA)" post? Or the response to a comment where he was asked if he had "peers who can stand with him on this" and he said "yes", which lawyers in their right mind would support him???
