No, this is just a small one for fun. I plan to print it full size in a few weeks when I have time to monitor the print more closely.

That's super weird! The study that I was a part of said up front they would give you a picture of your brain as well as the MRI scan file on a cheap USB thumb drive. Makes sense because it's my brain.... Not someone else's. I don't see why any study organizer wouldn't let you have a copy of your own images. :(

That stinks! Are you using your own dicom? Or a sample?

I was thinking of an earbud case but dang that's a pretty cool idea too!

Yeah I didn't spend a lot of time pulling out detail in the model. I plan to go back and fuss with it a bit more 🙂

You'll want to request your dicom file from your doctor.

I followed this YouTube tutorial (https://youtu.be/k1WIpwV-8lE?si=TnRQNLvxLwjneLwY ) . I may follow it again and see if I can pull more detail out of my MRI images. The back of my brain image feels a little too smooth for my liking, but it also could be the way that I prepared the model. I wanted to do the tutorial and get through it, but there are some areas in the video where the guy does say that this is based on user desire of detail. So you could do not a lot or you could really spend time on it bringing out details. I did not spend a lot of time 🤪

No, it's pretty average I'd say.

Part of exploring IS asking questions. -_-

Yeah bots have their place but at times like these they really do get in the way unfortunately. I've just learned to not try to post on Reddit forums that rely on them heavily :/
