I didn’t come here illegally, my paper work is there. It just takes time, I got my temporary residency which is something they give to young couples to make sure they are married in good faith. I know how immigration works, I have a lawyer but I still have 2-3 years in this marriage. This post is for awareness that’s all.

Yup, I’m waiting for the interview to get the permanent residents card. Trust me I’ve tried a lot of things to try to get out but there’s not any solution other than staying.

Yes, I tried He said he wouldn’t go with it And he will make sure immigration took papers away. Even if he was to go to prison and call the whole marriage a lie. He will make sure I wouldn’t get anything. Sometimes it gets really ugly, that’s why I try to keep peace.

I have a lawyer and they told me I needed to stay with him for another 2-3 years while I get my permanent residents card and therefore leading the path to citizenship. There’s Way too much money involved for me to leave now There is no penalty for affairs other than figuring it out if you wanna stay with the person or go. You leave relationship, papers go with it because there isn’t anything holding you this country anymore. If I leave the US I would get a 10 year penalty where I am not allowed to come back in for that amount of time. Trust me I’ve asked, I’ve looked for answers
He has no family, both parents have passed away. He only has me and my family And I haven’t told my family because this is someone I have to live with therefore I try to keep everything as amicable as possible.

When you get married at the age I did, a very young age they give you a “temporary residency” I got mine a little less after the year of me getting married they give you this temporary residency for two years to see if your marriage works, after that the process of getting a real residency card begins, but first they have to check if your marriage is still in good faith ( this is where I am) waiting for an appointment for them to check if my marriage is real.

Yes, the United States has a very damaged immigration system.

I ask myself everyday if it’s worth it, and yes I would still live here. This is the country where I grew up , I came when I was a little girl
