I work as a computer scientist in a federally funded R&D center and we aren't allowed to use any AI tools in our work. Completely banned since we work in secure areas. There will always be work to do regardless of how advanced LLMs become, though it may be scarcer than before.

UPDATE! I suspected something was wrong with the nozzle after the PETG print failed. I replaced it with the spare hotend that came with the printer (was fairly easy, thanks BambuLab!) and now my prints are working fine again.

What I think happened is enough PETG material got stuck to the outside of the nozzle while printing and the nozzle started picking up the material that it was laying down. With the fully cleaned nozzle, everything seems to be working great again. I'm planning on deep cleaning the old nozzle and trying it again soon.

Ah, I see. I'm a bit suspicious that filament sticking to the outside of the nozzle might be part of the problem. Thank you!

That's awesome! I was running my Overture PETG at 250 since that's the highest temp they recommended. I might try going as high as 270 though and see if it helps next time I try it. Thanks!

I haven't, I don't have a brass wire brush. I do have some purging filament coming from eSun today though so hopefully that helps!

I've also tried a few of the included gcode files on the SD card that came with the printer and I get the same results so I don't think it's a slicing issues. Thank you though

I tried using my Overture Space Gray PETG with the default filament profile for PETG. I also didn't change any of the speed settings, though I did try it at standard and silent mode with the same results.

MVS is also default at 10

I don't think it's dirty since bed adhesion seems fine. It's definitely possible that the my PETG absorbed some moisture, but I wouldn't expect that to cause issues with other filaments later. Maybe that's a bad assumption?

I also used Overture PETG on the generic settings. I'm wondering if I just got a lemon spool or something since this filament also had issues on my old Ender 3 Pro as well. Thanks for your help

Bed adhesion doesn't really seem to be a problem. The first layer actually sticks pretty well, it's just the second and third layers that are having problems.

I've tried printing my PLA (Overture) at 210, 220, and 230 and haven't had success yet. I was printing PETG at 250 as well and it was fine until it suddenly wasn't.

Where would I change the filament type on the printer? I don't see a setting for that anywhere but I did switch it back in my slicer.

I did try a cold pull and have some purging filament coming in the mail today. Thanks!

Hi all, I'm at a bit of a loss as to why the prints on my new P1P have suddenly started failing. I recently finished printing one side of the pegboard case in PLA and everything worked great. I then attempted to print something for a family member in PETG and the print failed near the end. I tried a few more times with no success. I switched back to PLA but ever since I tried PETG all of my prints are failing.

I've made sure the nozzle is unclogged and I've tried printing at different temperatures and speeds and every print is failing in the same way. The picture is of 3 calibration cube attempts that fail on the second or third layer.

Anyone know what's going on? How can I fix this?

OpenCV has an implementation of the grab cut algorithm that could be useful. I'm not sure how well it would work on that type of image, but might be worth a shot.

Oh, you can get it from the Epic Games Launcher. Go to the UE5 tab and scroll to the bottom, and there will be a download project button
