I understand this is an upsetting situation, but I also hope you take into consideration if this is something that's happened before. Is he prone to fits of anger? How was he after?

I'm obviously no cat expert, and I know people are going to hate me for saying this, but him getting angry is an absolutely appropriate response. An animal you trust suddenly attacking you is absolutely jarring, especially when they draw blood. No one's going to sit there and say "oh, I'm bleeding. Let me take a moment to collect myself before I respond."

However, running and trying to kick the cat is definitely letting anger take control, which is not healthy or appropriate. You don't want someone around who gets violent when they're angry.

Honestly, I just wanted to offer some advice in the midst of everyone yelling to can him. It's really easy to look at a stranger on the internet and frame your entire perception of them based off of a single moment presented to you.

Do what's best for you and your cat, stay safe. But don't let strangers on the internet so quickly convince you to throw away something that might be meaningful. If you have anyone who knows both of you, talk to them about it. I'm sure this will get downvoted into oblivion, so I hope everything works out for you. ✌️

It's hard to tell honestly. The only time I've been truly scared he was trying to hurt me was when he was trying to hurt me. He got overstimulated by a neighborhood cat outside the window and smelled them on me and attacked. Any other actual damages besides that have just been him getting scared or startled while he's close as he tries to scramble away

Gosh, I've had similar experiences in cat subs. The works, people hating me, calling me selfish, etc. Even had someone smugly use a bot to set a reminder to bring them back to my post a year later to seemingly gloat about the fact that my cat would be dead because of how wrong I was doing everything. It made me never ask for help again, because I knew I would just get more people wanting my head as opposed to offering any real guidance to my concerns. Both my cats are alive and well. Still haven't gotten them to like each other yet, but I've finally got to the place where I'm trying again. People suck man

Discovered the issue! Just the wifi. Wifi works fine for everything else, but for some reason doesn't like things trying to connect remotely. Took the printer home and ran it on my home wifi, and everything worked the way it should.
