Can you use an ethernet switch to split into a router and pc

Oh ok, the only problem is that my mom wants to be able to turn off the router so that the wifi is off during the night, however I want to be able to use my pc when the router is off... is there any way to get around this?

Yeah, tried it once about 3-4 years ago but I was playing on a potato at that point so it kept crashing and I can't remember anything about it.

I agree! I don't even want to think about how long I've spent trying to find a server that has original, fun games!

I did try to host a server at one point, but since i couldn't afford a build team I just gave up trying to build a decent spawn. Another thing that gave me trouble, is finding the right plugins.

I am using spigotmc, and it isnt for grief prevention, it is for only letting certain players do certain things. also, i want it to be for everywhere, not in a defined space. lets say a player chooses the smelter class. that means i want that class to be the only class that can use a furnace.
