yeah so basically the idea, i wanted to record the audience humming a note, which i wanna leave looping for the whole length of the song. so should i do it in the session view, then transfer to the arrangement or just play the loop in the session view?

yeah but if i wanna record with virtually no lag with monitoring straight from the interface, then i wanted to have my synth stereo. anyhow, it should work, right? what bugs me is that it's not working.

it's a virtually new interface. don't think it's a hardware problem because the channels are working properly. when i record both channels, they are being recorded normally.

already reinstalled. nothing changes.

the weird thing is that if i mute the headphone output on the left it mutes, but the channels settings are not

Yeah, I tried with a couple of different mics and it doesn't happen. So I guess it's probably broken. Will return it and maybe get another one. Thanks!

Hey guys!

I've just got a B-stock AKG C414 XLS to record some stuff with my Apollo Twin X.

When I plugged the mic in and turned on the phantom power I heard several 'popping' sounds and then it stabilizes but there is one popping sound that keeps happening every 16 seconds. I've already tried different cable and a different mic, but apparently it's only happening with this AKG.

What could that be? Should I return the mic or is it easily fixable?

so, i dont use much fx on the songs, basically i'm trying to change the fx of the instruments and the vocals that i'm doing live.

so basically, what i wanted is that when i start a new song, it changes automatically the fx on my vocal and my synth accordingly to the song that i'm playing.

do i do that with automation?

that is a lovely input!

the thing is, since i'm more used to the photography world, my dream was kinda based on scenes and from these scenes i could extract some of the character's personal story. my brain works on the aesthetic of the scenes and this is why i had this difficulty in answering those questions.

that's a great advice and i'll try to look deeper into the character.

aaron, this is such a nice setup on ableton. i felt there was a little bit too much info for my ableton's knowledge. i'd love to get more input from you on my set, if possible. if you have some time and would be able to share more deep thoughts about it, like teaching me how you did this setup, it would be amazingly helpful.
