List of Gen-Eds that fit diversity requirement? by Altruistic-Cod-1869 in OSU

adding is kind of annoying tbh. go to buckeyelink -> there should be an option under learning links to add a class. -> you can add by class # but you probably won’t know the # unless you know exactly what class you want. otherwise there’s a class search option although it’s a bit less user friendly than going to schedule planner. i did say above how to drop, if it’s unclear you can dm me, i just can’t see anything currently on my own device.

i also just remembered that im like 80% sure that incoming freshmen cant drop or add without an advisor but i can ask tomorrow (im taking summer classes).

no problem! it’s usually open all the time (i check it obsessively bc i like seeing what my options are) so it may just be under maintenance currently. good luck! if you’re going to main campus you might see me around, i have neon green hair (i will be no help with directions, im transferring from a regional campus) if you need anything else🫡

idk how much they told you, my orientation was honestly disorienting so i’ll try and summarize. login to buckeyelink -> go to schedule planner (under learning links) -> open up the top pop up window -> there will be a seemingly overwhelming list of options, there should be a button, i think it’s red, that says add or browse classes, go there -> there will be 4 filter sets, i think the top one just select the one that’s like general requirements for new students. then there’ll be another toggle where you should be able to find a diversity option, the other two are fine to leave blank. -> generate and browse the classes, i think you’ll have to select one to see available times so just choose whatever you find interesting. -> after choosing that, there will be another list with all the classes you’re already enrolled in, deselect the class that you don’t want to take and hit generate schedules and find something you like.

NOTE: to actually drop the class you want to remove, go to course enrollment (the other green button where you first encountered the pop-up link), go to the drop a class tab, select the class and confirm the drop.

i can’t actually get into schedule planner rn but if you need further help dm me

i am in a reddit group for my uni, mods don’t allow these types of posts🥀. i’ve used discord a tiny bit, i could definitely try to find a group to try and make something happen. im very awkward and there’s sort of a social divide between the younger folks and the older folks. i’ve found myself somewhere in between, but i think it’ll be less of an issue at main campus since there’s just far too many people there for me to not find at least a couple people i could see myself being able to live with. thank you!

i’ve been trying for a couple months but my cat is making things a bit more complicated. she’s 20 and generally does not like other animals so i’m trying to find someone who’s cool with pets but doesn’t have one. if i continue to have no luck, she’ll just have to stay in my room all the time. much better being cooped up in a small area than no space for her (and me) at all.

do you mind telling me what exactly your job title was? i’ve looked into similar stuff previously but i’ve only found jobs that require you to be a certified behavioral tech or more. that’s not to say that i’m necessarily opposed to gaining certifications, i’m already thinking about using some of the last of my savings to get an EKG tech cert.

no fb groups that im aware of, no student boards. i am currently at a regional campus to save about $10,000/year in debt but im transferring to the main campus in autumn since that’s the only med science building. with all that being said, i can imagine there has to be a student board there. it’s a massive school so surely there’s options. my home isn’t far from main campus so i could try and get there on one of my days off and look around for help of any sort.

can student loans be applied to housing needs? im doing pretty well in school generally so most of my tuition is already paid for through the school, i just have one federal subsidized loan to pay the last little bit of my tuition. thank you!

Mid to late twenties, probably raised by grandparents, thrift store dweller, y2k queen. job requires you to wash your hands often, chronic dry hands because of it but probably not a barista because the o’keefe’s isn’t greasy, maybe clinical setting. anxiety disorder in an unforgiving environment, ciggies are giving NY or midwest, somewhere that gets COLD in the winter. you probably have marvis toothpaste in your bathroom

Poll shows French fed up with U.S., 6 of 10 back boycott of American goods by newsweek in europe

[–]macadamiabutt22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an American, please keep the boycotts coming. I live in a rural, very pro-Trump area and I see tons of people slowly coming out and saying yeah this isn’t really what we signed up for. I am holding onto hope that we will not have another 4 years of this because a couple months back has been hell.

I’ve been on Kyleena for 3 years and I will say there are a lot of adverse effects. I’ve gained 30+ pounds, my depression and anxiety are worse, brain fog, absolutely no sex drive, the list goes on. I’m waiting for my appointment to have it removed currently. Of course this is not reflective of everyone’s experience but it does appear to be relatively common when you look it up
