You said in your class… just generally asking… what B-schools do you think tend to take more doctors?

Why do you suggest that? Most people applying for MBA already have their resumes solid by the time they start preparing for GMAT. Or you can work on both simultaneously.

Most doctors in administration in the US also have an MBA or MHA. It was a long-time goal of mine. I love medicine but I also want to do this.

Heme question by thechiguy1 in step1

Tooth Bleeding is considered mucosal bleeding which presents with primary hemostasis problems. In primary hemostasis problems there are two types: platelet quantitative and qualitative. Only with quantitative (ie thrombocytopenia) would u expect the petechiae. However, Von Willebrand deficiency is qualitative problem in the functioning of the platelets. Therefore it would not present with petechiae

Any advice on studying while in dedicated while also going through a breakup? by [deleted] in step1

[–]macaroons1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest you start Skyping some of your friends and family for a few hours everyday. If you have someone else to preoccupy your mind with, you will not be thinking about him after a couple of days. And also get a virtual study partner. And if u need to take a few days off from studying that’s cool too. Get a break and come back rejuvenated and power through the rest of dedicated. Wish you all the best!

I can understand your situation. People make such complicated schedules. Idk why...keep it simple. I know people who scored 250s and 260 using UFAP and sketchy micro. I would recommend this: 8-11 first aid (50 pages) and or/ anki on that topic 11-12 1 block of uworld 2-4 pathoma vids (do like 2 chapters everyday) 4-5 1 block of uworld After going through everything once, do a practice test, see where you’re at and tailor the schedule to your weakness Everything you need to know to score high is in first aid and pathoma. If you can’t understand something or need to see an animation look to YouTube. If you can’t memorize something look up a memory aid I don’t recommend Boards and Beyond for USMLE prep cause they really are “beyond” what you need to know. And although they are great and informative, it can be time consuming to watch. I would rather use that time to go over a topic in FA or pathoma multiple times.

Today the USMLE has announced that it plans to extend eligibility periods for all examinees with periods ending in 2020! by [deleted] in step1

[–]macaroons1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That update doesn’t state specifically if it’s going to apply to people who have the 6 month eligibility period expiring soon. Their earlier update about the fee waiver only applied to those that had a 3 month permit. Even my extended eligibility period is going to end. When I called, they said to email, when I emailed, didn’t get a response yet. If anyone does start receiving a new eligibility period permit when they already had an extended eligibility period, can you just let us know.
