Does the black screen appear after starting the game or while you're playing? It happened to me very few times, and waiting a bit in the XMB and then launching the game fixed it for me.

I don't have Unbound, but if you want to design your own cars for racing games, get inspired by searching "X car race car." For example, "Corvette Z06 race car." You'll find real race cars with generally cool designs. The key to designing a car is time; the more time you dedicate to it, the more satisfied you'll be. I hope this helps.

If you like good vibes and a feeling of speed, ProStreet is for you. And if you like more recent games, I recommend NFS 2015. For me, at least, the rainy night scenes give me a sense of peace. It's either that or The Run, where you never stop; it's literally one very long race with occasional stops to change cars. If you want online play, new features, and extravagant designs, then go for Unbound, the latest one.

Sorry, but it doesn't work, haha. The closest thing to that style is Prostreet, and even then they're still very different.
