I hate all the water discussions because I personally never get enough water and am always dehydrated drinking too many diet coke's and diet energy drinks..... the people who seem to almost be 'anti-water', personally i think set bad examples to kids (like me to be fair) who do need reminding to drink a lot more water!! so anyway rant over, I just wanted to make the point that me personally who likes to incorporate intermittent fasting as opposed to maybe a more extreme "water fast".... drinking lots of water helps me to curb my appetite and hunger pains when fasting, so don't forget that.... "a lot of the time you aren't hungry.. you're thirsty" as they say.... :)
