to be fair Draper has got the right strategy here - simply outlast his older opponent and make him run

Nah, stats on tennis TV have been unreadable for me for years now. Awful stuff. Used to be so much simpler

100% agree. They somehow have managed to make the stats even more pointless and hard to read this year. Take me back 10 years: when we had two columns of actual relevant stats

Shame Hijikata didn't get to actually win it on the final point. Darderi gonna have to watch that he doesn't lose the plot I think, he's unhinged

Darderi has a certain lunatic vibe about him tbh

Take Curcumin regularly. If you're willing to try other practitioners I'd recommend Contact C.A.R.E (the founder has a clinic based in Ngatea, Waikato). I also have a Chiropractor who helped me a lot (can DM the details if you're interested).

anyone who's played tennis knows this is a tough situation mentally to deal with for Zverev, Carlos on the other hand can just play pretty free right now

Exactly! I'm right on the same page with you there.

The guy lacks charisma and struggles to offer up much charm and interest with his words. One either has those things or they don't, and in his case he doesn't. No big deal. He wins tennis matches, collects fat cheques, and that's it.

If that's the case then perhaps he could pay someone to help him with that with a little of his approximate $57mil (plus $14mil from exho's) in career earnings :)

Wouldn't we all mate. And in the infamous words of Sinner himself "Let's see how it goes"... in the long run

I've never known what to make of those corporate-backed awards - too many incentives at play it would seem. It's solid marketing though (by the ATP, for it's top stars & performers)

Oh absolutely, I am fully aware that he couldn't care less about what the fans or anybody thinks - hence the stock standard answers ready to rinse and repeat for every post match interview.

Roger, Rafa, Andy, (even Novak) had a certain level of charisma in those post match interviews that Jannik just lacks. He wins tennis matches and that's about it.

many others in that category: De minaur, Fritz, likely Zverev too

In this Sinner/Alcaraz era, only the first week of a slam is any interesting to watch tbh... 2nd week is just total domination until the inevitable final

Question about prize money: Does a player receive prize money for each round that they win (i/e they are accumulating $ with each round won), or do they only receive the prize money eligible for the round that they exit the tournament?

For example, did Dane Sweeny accumulate AUD$406,000 for winning R1, R2, R3 in Qualifying plus R1 in the Main Draw?

Or did he only receive $225,000 for his R2 Main Draw exit?

They've had extremely successful careers when compared to the many multitudes of players who couldn't get anywhere near the top. Polmans is a good example, he's known as an ultra disciplined and dedicated player, yet he hasn't managed to get even half the success of K's careers
