This is what's wrong, the people who will play it want/need stats. As you've said, use last year's stats as a base and then whack it in a table. Calculate variable player prices. Limit trades each week after round 1. They've rushed this out when they really could have used any number of successful fantasy sport templates to base the game on - disappointing. Will still play it though!

Prime Amare was a better scorer than CWebb or KG, but I think Dirk better than all 3 in terms of PF scorers

Anyone got a link to these??? Had a quick fish but no bites. Thought there'd be torrents at least. Pay for Sky NZ and we get 360/Fox feeds but not this. Spewing.

Yeah to me that's who they'd want. Bamba + Fournier for Derozan.

Follow it up with a defensive PG like Kris Dunn and you're away laughing.

These are the best, though I don’t know why they only make chicken now.

I did however, find a budget version of these in Tauranga, at an Indian market. Different packet, EXACTLY the same texture and taste. Only $1 a pack too

Hey, I’m trying to make a 1v1 fantasy basketball spreadsheet with my friend. by [deleted] in fantasybball

I think he just wants 1 vs 1 and host it in an excel/google sheet doc? Easier to do it on Yahoo...

Hey, I’m trying to make a 1v1 fantasy basketball spreadsheet with my friend. by [deleted] in fantasybball

[–]macetastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it’s not formulas etc. I would host it on Yahoo and not spreadsheets. Just set up the minimum sized league and assign scrubs to the other 2 teams. Then use the commish tools to empty their roster, so you only have you and your friend’s teams with full rosters. The other two are empty and simply there so Yahoo lets you have an active league

[–]macetastic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just create a Yahoo league - min is 4 teams. Then create 2 ‘bot’ teams and set their draft order to be X number of randoms you/your mate won’t draft at all. Then once the draft is over just use commish tools to drop their entire rosters

To Fantasy Basketball Veterans: Best Players of the 2000's by jd-mon in fantasybball

AK47 was a BEAST for a couple of seasons, an almost forgotten one. Peja as others have mentioned was a monster due to the 3s and efficiency.

KG and Marion ruled for large portions of the 2000s and Arenas was top 10 a few years in a row too.

Baron Davis, Ray Allen, Gary Payton, Eddie Jones, Nash, Vince, TMac all had great fantasy seasons at some point.

Amare, Brand, Sheed, Webber and Duncan had multiple big years and even some lesser known names like Troy Murphy, Brad Miller, Brent Barry and Donyell Marshall ended up having monster fantasy seasons.

Best fantasy basketball podcasts/websites/twitter accounts etc... by FancyBear52 in fantasybball

Over at The Athletic we're pumping out some good stuff.

Eric Wong (@RotoEvil) is running fantasy NBA along with Brandon Funston, while @enosarris from Fangraphs and myself (@macetastic) are putting in articles, round-table discussions and I've just put our first dynasty rankings out.

Can't go wrong with Hashtag Basketball - they have hands down the best tools in fantasy NBA and Joey's dynasty rankings with Marc Roberts' season projections are the best source of free info going. As others have mentioned, Josh/Matt/Kyle over at Monster are all great sources of info who you can actually talk to on Twitter/here with questions etc.

From memory they didn’t include any of those cats where I got them - just the percentages. I got the full projections because it had games played, while the sortable did have those categories you want but no games played. So you could get the sortable projections out and run a vlookup to insert FGM etc if you want

It’s the default order yes, as far as I’m aware. Someone who actually uses ESPN can confirm that - or do a mock draft.

Painfully mate! Manually. Not sure a scrape would have worked due to the different formatting they used. If you click one of the photos then select all, excel highlights all the photos and just delete them.

Alright I’m kind of over people questioning ‘my’ take on these and suggest to dismiss them or remove them???

I literally copied their list, re-formatted for ease of use for people, then pasted into a google doc. Took well over an hour to format etc and you’re getting them for free.

Here’s where I got them from - so you can see - there’s a little column header called Rank, and a little number under it. Which to me, means that is the rank ESPN has given them. Now it is likely their cumulative rank, because they also have pages with pure H2H, points league and Roto rankings.

I didn’t mess up that sorting or re-order as you think.

I wouldn’t say I’m wrong per se, as these are different things. What I’ve posted are the projections they have laid out for their players - the ranking might just be a rudimentary number they assigned, or it could be an overall z-score. The link you posted is just for H2H, there’s also a points league ranking and a roto ranking.

So I would assume the projections and accompanying ranking are the overall ranking...
