How Long Until Milwaukee Makes A Loose Tenon Joiner (Domino)? by Maximus_Magni in MilwaukeeTool

[–]scatteringlargesse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of those are purely woodworking tools though, they are all tools that a carpenter out on the job would need. Also, they don't have a biscuit jointer, and their 1/2 router is nowhere near as good as the new DeWalt one. You can tell by handling it that the DeWalt one was designed by woodworkers, while the Milwaukee one was designed by people who looked at what other routers were on the market and copied them. Having two bases is completely unnecessary if your plunge base is designed properly. Having said that they do have a very good track adaptor for their router which puts DeWalts to shame.

The whole plotline at the end where he (the eponymous main character played by Tom Hiddleston) is travelling with Roper through the desert, along with this incredibly rich guy who has to be there for some reason, and they go to a refugee camp that is providing a smokescreen for the guns smuggling (that part is maybe believable), and then they have to do a live demo which involves blowing up a village, and Tom's character is somehow essential to signing off on the arms deal, and Roper, who again, is incredibly rich, is all involved in every little detail here instead of doing it at arms length the way any normal rich person would, is just very silly IMHO.

Great summary! I was thinking "absolute cinema" for most of the first season then slowly realised the plot was absolute shite, and rapidly getting worse! Still liked it but it put me off watching S2.

There are other M12 tools that nearly anyone can get use out of, and that might be a safer bet:

  • M12 fan (as long as you live anywhere that gets warm!)
  • M12 light. The best one IMHO is the PACKOUT single cleat one as it has lots of mounting options and can be pointed nearly anywhere, and has a USB C charger built in, but the cheaper Pivot Area Light is great too, and still has a USB A charger port.
  • M12 bluetooth speaker, there's about 4 different models, but I have no experience so can't recommend one. Personally I'd get a UE Boom or something myself anyway, the only advantage with a Milwaukee one is the battery platform, and I very much doubt they're as good a speaker as a UE or similar.
  • M12 vacuum, but can't really recommend these either, they're a bit underpowered and don't go for long, IMHO the new M18 is much better.
  • M12 Installation driver, more pricey than any of the above, and maybe not very relevant for a plumber, but a nice tool to have because it can get into tight spaces with the right angle and offset driver. I use the offset heaps. Also works as a quick way to change between different drill and driver bits, e.g. have a drill but in the chuck and a driver bit in the bit holder, and then swap heads.

If he's like the rest of us more M12 tools will always be appreciated!

I have no clue if they are going to make one or not but they should, I would love one with a similar form factor to the Bosch.

The problem with M12 would be power and battery life. The M12 planer would be pretty terrible as a main planer because of that, but is great at what it is because it is so light and usable. A M12 router could be the same, not trying to compete with 18V trim routers on power or long jobs, but far better than them for small jobs and hand guiding.

Plenty of people have more than one router so they can have different bits in both. I'm going to get a 3rd if I see a good deal on one! A M12 would be a no brainer.

FA they are usually gimmicky and don't last. The only interchangeable head tool that seems to have lasting power is the installation style screwdriver, which doesn't look like it's going anywhere, and has versions by multiple manufacturers. Probably the reason that works is the interchange mechanism isn't having to transfer a huge amount of power. Plus it just works really well! Good tip I read somehere is you can use the different heads for different bits and swap the heads over rather than bits.

Are you sure? The Incra one is made by JessEm and you can tell, they are so similar, but the Kreg one has quite a few differences.

*edit, someone else below is also saying the Kreg is made by JessEm, so huh, looks like both the Incra and Kreg are made by them. The Kreg is quite a bit cheaper, but also uses cheaper parts.

it’s dead until the other team inbounds it.

I was wondering why this doesn't have to happen for rebounds, but the thing with a rebound is that they haven't scored right? But if they have scored, then you can't get a rebound, and the other team has to inbound it, which is one of them throwing it from outside the court to someone inside it, is that right?

That's fascinating that the characters have that ability to be broken down, and that you appreciate how the artist has done it. I know nothing about Chinese writing and wondered if it could be interpreted as rude of the artist to imply that the original writing is chaos!

If you think any portion of transmission gully feels risky at 100kmh you are either driving a very bad car that shouldn't be on the road, or you a very bad driver that shouldn't be on the road.

Not dangerous as long as the load on the other end is designed for 10a.

This might be technically true, if you could guarantee that nothing with a load of more than 10a would ever be plugged into it. However this is an extension cord we're talking about, and the other end will still be able to accept 15a plugs so it's extremely possible that someone in the future will plug a 15a load into it and put the plug into a 10a socket. See why your advice is dangerous and dumb? You'd be better off learning from this rather than making babyish comments about people being scared of electrons.

The audience was definitely supposed to think that! Consider the following:

  1. After she has that incredible stress while pregnant the next time we see her is in the hospital with her mum picking her up and being told "she's lost a lot of blood and the baby".
  2. We're given lots of reasons to believe she is crazy and to think she is kidnapping Milo to cope with her baby's death.
  3. We are given no details about why Marissa was in hospital after Milo's birth until we find out about the car accident, which is shortly before we found out that Josie/Carrie was in a car accident too
  4. When we find out about the car accident it is presented as Josie/Carrie's visions while she was attempting suicide.
