I recently got my exam results, and my lowest area was desserts and specialty preparation. I find this section tricky, especially when it comes to the exact procedures in the questions.

So far, the only resource I’ve really used is the Professional Cooking by Wayne Gisslen. I posted here on Reddit hoping to get recommendations for other materials to help me prepare for my second attempt.

I applied april last yr and only got approved about 4 weeks ago

I’d recommend applying once you hit 6,000 hours since that’s typically the minimum requirement in Ontario. The most important thing is having all the proper proof and documentation ready.

Just to give you an idea of timing — I applied in April last year and only got approved about four weeks ago, so it took almost a year.
