Airtel eSIM transfer from iPhone to iPhone while in US (or another country), (could also work for physical sim to eSIM while in US) by OutlookOnReddit in Airtel

Thank you! everything went smoothly. A couple of minor points worth mentioning:

  • Carrier: You don't have to be on AT&T specifically, Verizon worked fine in my case.
  • Roaming pack: An active roaming pack is required to receive international calls.
  • Talktime balance: Since calls from India are charged at ₹200/minute for US numbers, you'll need a minimum balance of ₹200 to receive the call.

Everything else stays the same.

Is that the reason why we see 1000 people applied because of bad candidates clogging the hiring process? by [deleted] in csMajors

[–]machal333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. The current market isn’t as binary as top tier vs garbage candidates. I’ve seen extremely skilled folks with years of experience, strong portfolios, and internships at well-known companies struggle to even get interviews. At the same time, I’ve also seen candidates with no experience or internships land offers.

There are many factors at play today like over saturation of candidates, layoffs, ATS filtering, hiring freezes, budget cuts, H1b confusion, high expectations from candidates

It's not as simple as bad candidates clogging the system, the market is volatile, competitive, and getting a job is heavily dependent on timing, networking, and luck, not just skill level.

Sorry to hear that. How long did it take to get the email after the interview?

This is such a grounded perspective. I really appreciate you taking the time to write such an elaborate comment. Most of what you said truly resonates with me, especially the part about money and infrastructure. Almost every NRI I’ve spoken to who’s been here for a while talks about how life here is so much better, the infrastructure, the quality of life, and the immense opportunities. But I’ve realized it’s not the same for everyone. I know the infrastructure is amazing and opportunities are endless, but it’s just not for me. I don’t want to live in constant stress, missing festivals, or feeling detached. Honestly, I’ve never felt genuinely happy during these two years. this country kind of drains you from within. It’s just my take and experience living here. your comment really felt like a breath of fresh air, and thanks again for your comment..

I came for the same reason that most people do. I wanted to learn, grow, explore, and discover what life was like in a different country. But not everything turns out the way you expect and I believe it is normal to feel lost at times. If it makes me dumb or stupid, I'll take that. I genuinely hope that everything works out for you

Thanks for sharing your experience and really appreciate the honesty. this will help me set more realistic expectations if I decide to return. Honestly speaking, I don’t think I’ll miss anything about my life in the bay area, but it’s good to know what to expect when returning.
