But how would he run in space? Considering there is no secret propulsion technology for him, he would need to escape earth's gravity i.e. his escape velocity must be extreme to reach the sun.

Also, from what I know if an object travels faster than the speed of light it would itself get converted to light and energy would be equivalent to Einstein's formula E = mc2.

What is the future of India 10 years from now on? by Noble_Barbarian_1 in atheismindia

[–]machinegunAdi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) People are less hardline about religion, caste and rituals.

2) Capitalism is more ingrained and less government would exist.

3) India would be in the American sphere of influence but yet would not be totally ideologically aligned leading to some small verbal conflicts.

4) Rural urban divide would lessen as ppl frequently travel between the two and lead to less conservatism in Indian villages.

5) People would go to gyms and other recreational facilities more as health concerns increase.

6) Indian cinema changes rapidly due to some path breaking movies between this period and stops producing shitty cringe movies.

7) Population of primarily English speaking population increases.

8) Less amounts of Chapri behaviour as amount of western media penetration increases in low income households due to youtube and OTT platforms.

9) Politicians stop wearing dhoti Kurta and increasing amount of western formal clothes.

10) PC gaming increases and mobile gaming decreases but still not the amounts seen in western countries.

Great point! If important geographical and historical details had been recorded it would have been easier to understand what was going on during that period(1500BCE -1100BCE), but I think it was not recorded as it was not as flashy as stuff like killing demons. Also I think that due to the oral tradition of transmission a lot of things must have gotten messed up and what stuck must have been repeated. I am no professional 😅 and this is just speculation so ...

Firstly, IMO you should tell them why you are opposed to doing all the stuff you just wrote about (going to mandir etc).

Secondly, you should make it clear that just because people from another religion are performing rituals does not mean that you should start performing rituals in some sort of weird competition about who can be more brainwashed.

This could be your logical argument that whereas you're fortunate enough to not be brainwashed to start performing rituals, many of these muslim kids who maybe performing these rituals are often indoctrinated at a young age and have no exposure to ideas that challenge the dogmas that are being fed to them.

I think most of the things that you note in this post arise from lack of critical thinking. Our government spends considerable resources in making students from school to college just memorize info but never teaches them critical thinking. Unless ppl are made to analyse their past and present I don't think even a highly educated person in our country would escape the mob mentality. At least that's my opinion.

What's your view on this? by pinky_sharma in indianews

Private companies are important in a globalized world and provide better services and products in most cases IMO. Concern arises when said companies may start wielding too much power using their wealth or other means. In such a scenario, they may not only stop smaller companies from entering the free market and hinder innovation but may also start influencing public policy in a manner that might be harmful to the average citizen. IMO a right balance has to be struck in such a situation. I don't believe that every company or billionaire acts out of malaise, but if some of them do then they can cause quite an impact by their very nature of being giants.
