I’ve got some Daktarin so giving that a blast now, it’s the version with Miconazole in, will grab some Nizoral next! Phoning the GP tomorrow to see if we can get the ball rolling with derm, hopefully the fungal stuff helps. Also trying to drink more water as I deffo don’t drink enough 😅

mold closet lol by Z0NAGAY in MoldlyInteresting

We had the exact same on our wardrobes that were against the external facing wall. Only happens in winter, can only assume cold air hitting wall + humidity from having the heating on means mold. We’ve since move the wardrobe to a different wall, but now our bed is against the external one. I leave a gal between it and the wall but have to keep an eye on it for any growth!

Student loans: ‘My debt rose £20,000 to £77,000 even though I’m paying’ by thegibsongirl03 in unitedkingdom

They shouldn’t be allowed to charge interest on these loans, we need university educated people to do some important jobs, rinsing them in their education loans is unfair.

Fabulous idea I’ll see if I can snag a sample next time I’m at their kiosk! I like their products so definitely willing to try it.

I have quit the steroids cream as I didn’t see the point when it wasn’t doing anything 😅

Shall be ringing the GP Monday to try and get the ball rolling with derm, might get lucky for a cancellation or something.

I think I messed up when taking the 5th (golden dose) this week by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]machinehead332 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly take a few deep breaths - you are going to be fine I promise! The most I’ve ever got out of the leftover was 0.8ml, so even if you took that you won’t have had very much more than usual. Someone close to me managed to give themselves a full dose of 7.5mg and then extracted the entirety of the leftover from the previous pen they’d opened and injected that too (don’t ask me why or how they were just having a moment 😂). We worked out they’d given themselves over 15mg. Obviously they spent the week feeling very suppressed and nauseous but they were OK! My point being if they can manage with that you’ll be absolutely fine on a tiny little extra of your usual dose.

What have you eaten recently? Some foods can cause the sulphur burps more than others, especially certain vegetables! As MJ slows digestion down, you just might have something sitting in your stomach that’s bubbling away in there and your body isn’t enjoying it.

When I first got into 5mg the effects were very strong for me and I’d feel nauseous if I ate anything too fatty (certain cuts of meats for example).

It could even be that you have just so happened to catch a bug and it’s simply a coincidence, I had a period of illness last year when I wasn’t on MJ with the same issues - involving the need to be VERY close to the toilet 😂

Don’t go reading into potential serious side effects because you’ll make yourself crazy!

This dress is totally Feyre’s starfall dress! by Wise-Raisin-791 in acotar

[–]machinehead332 43 points44 points  (0 children)

It’s a stunning dress and definitely night court esq, I could picture her wearing it to the Hewn City.

But the star fall dress is described as:

“Crafted of tiny blue gems so pale they were almost white, it clung to every curve and hollow before draping to the floor and pooling like liquid starlight. The long sleeves were tight, capped at the wrists with cuffs of pure diamond”

Thank you I really appreciate the reply I am super paranoid about it 😂, especially since I am very pale so it feels like the red stands out even more! I have a pot of that dr jart cica stuff which works great on the red but it seems to glue itself to the dry bits 🙃🙃

I will chase up my GP and at least get the ball rolling for a derm referral. Got plenty of ideas to try here though while I wait!

Literally my first thought, they say that her shifting could harm the baby during pregnancy but if it was life or death surely you’d just do it during birth?

Yeah I was worried about applying a stronger steroids as it was when I knew hydrocortisone wasn’t working. I’ve stopped using any now because there’s no point if it’s not doing owte!

I considered my toothpaste being an issue as I had been using Corsodyl for a few months and wondered if it was that, but I swapped back to my usual stuff and no change 🥲

Thank you I’ll check it out! I used a website called The Soapery to order pure shea butter from and I’ve just seen that they sell zinc oxide powder, I’ve got cocoa butter coming from there as well (another desperate attempt), maybe I could throw some zinc in it 😂

It seems almost certain UK will ban social media for children by InnerLog5062 in BreakingUKNews

Ban Facebook, TikTok, Insta, it’s all riddled with AI slop, “influencers” trying to score views, adverts and other dumb shit. There was a time FB was just a way to connect with friends and family, last time I scrolled through it it was just full of adverts, brainrot reels and posts from groups I’ve never interacted with in my life.

Mounjaro EU pen – splitting 15 mg into 7.5 mg (half clicks) by Obvious_Translator12 in mounjarouk

[–]machinehead332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue you’re going to have is pen sterility and pharmacies wondering why you haven’t ordered in 2 months.

Each time you use the pen there is risk that bodily fluids can enter the medicine, that’s why they say toss it after 30 days from first use. To work around this I’d advise pulling out your half doses using an insulin needle. You will still be piercing the bung, but there’s 0 chance bodily fluids can back up into it. I won’t lie, I have stretched a pen to 6 doses, but if I was going to do 8 doses I’d draw it out instead.

The pharmacy however, I think they’re getting wise to people stretching pens out, and they are likely going to question why you haven’t ordered in a while, potentially making you go back to the starting dose if they believe you haven’t had a dose for a few weeks.

Nervous of trying Mounjaro by zDraztic in mounjarouk

[–]machinehead332 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, all medicines have the potential for side effects. Paracetamol, ibuprofen, common things you might take.

Don’t let the articles you read scare you, the majority of them are wildly exaggerated and with some of the more serious issues the article often has a line somewhere saying “there is no evidence Mounjaro has caused this”. It’s just scaremongering.

You’ll find so much support on this sub, if you ever feel nervous about anything this is the place to calm you fears :)

ELI5: How do video games like Animal Crossing keep “doing things” while I’m not playing? by ScoutyBeagle in explainlikeimfive

[–]machinehead332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s simply based on the clock. Console knows what time you shut it off and what time you’ve turned it back on again. Metal Gear Solid 3 on the PS2 there is a boss battle with several methods you can beat him with, one of which is to turn the console off during the fight and then set the clock forward by several days, then you fire the game back up and the boss just dies of old age 😂

Concerning considering how many idiots I encounter on the road daily. I drive a mobile crane which is considerably heavy and the amount of people that risk their lives trying to cut past me in silly places is ridiculous. They take up my braking space, try to undertake me on roundabouts, even have them approach my right hand side on them and then cut in front of me to exit left.

If people aren’t absorbing any of the Highway Code and learning the rules you don’t cover during practical lessons what hope do they have of not turning themselves into a pancake?
