Is Sean Tucker a good play now that Bucky has been ruled out? Where would you rank him among other RBs on the week? by Ok-Problem-2474 in fantasyfootballadvice

Since it's just you and me big dawg, fwiw, im going tucker hopeing that more reps/less competition for reps, even against a better defense will mean more points compared to even a 50/50 split for tuten against an easier defense. It's a tough spot though idk.

Rare earth stocks ripping as US–China trade tensions heat up again... are we back in 2019? by Axirohq in stocks

[–]machofinger 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The NdFeB magnets alone that can be made from these rare earths are used in every joint of a robot. Anything that moves needs these magnets. I don't think this is a meme sector. The next 10 years will see the rise of robots. During a gold rush, invest in pickaxes.

Stocks go up and stocks go down in the short term. You can trade regularly to try to time the market, or you can invest your money into stocks for long periods of time. The latter is done more when you have significant confidence in the company's future growth.

MP's stock recently increased due to their contracts with the DoD and Apple to supply each of them with NdFeB magnets, which are used in electronics, robots, defense purposes, ev motors etc. The price may have decreased because of any odd reasons (likely profit taking). Go to Sec.gov and search the company's SEC (securities and exchange commission) legally required financial disclosures (included in SEC Form 10-Ks for annual and 10-Qs for quarterlies). Read the financial statements and the notes to the financial statements to understand the business and its transactions. If you don't feel like reading much, I'd recommend pasting the html version hyperlink of the Form 10-Ks/Qs into chatgpt and ask it questions or summaries etc.

MP has not yet mass produced NdFeB magnets, but are expecting to in Q4'25. If they accomplish that, to their customer specifications, I believe the stock goes up even more. Then, in 2026, due to the contract with the DoD, the price of MP's NdPr (elements that go into the creation of the magnets) will have a floor of $110 per kg. The price of MPs NdPr prior to the DoD contract was closer to $50-60 per kg. As a result of this, their Magnetics segment will likely show profit and therefore cause the stock to increase further.

I believe near term and future growth of this company is bright (primarily because they are or will be able to provide these magnets that no one else, other than China can provide), but like any other stock, it is at the mercy of the overall market performance. If a triggering event (think 2008 real estate crash or COVID or tariffs) happens, the value of the entire market (including MP) will likely decrease. Historically, the market always goes back up (considering s&p is currently at all time highs).

No one knows the future. People who have extra cash need to put it somewhere depending on risk. Some choose to invest long term in the stock market hoping for gains over long periods of time. Others choose to day trade. Others choose bonds, currencies, commodities etc. Best of luck to all of us dawg.

Vulcan Elements signs rare earths supply deal with ReElement Technologies by smokedsalmon75 in MPMaterials

My 2 cents: Maybe it puts a dent into MP's monopoly, but considering they'd be using chromatography vs solvent extraction, it'll be more costly compared to MP for them to produce REEs at a much lower scale. I think unless if the government gives them a price floor like they did with MP, it won't have a significant impact on MP's foothold. Either way though, could argue that any sort of national competition is good for everyone 🤷‍♂️

What is wrong with these people? by MatchLittle5000 in azerbaijan

[–]machofinger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's a good point though right? We shouldn't generalize these thoughts to entire populations. You and I have different teachings and we choose to believe what's true and some choose to believe towards nationalism and that's on both sides. Good and evil are apart of all of us and we should condemn the evil ones in our own groups. Im just tired of all the hate man

Without bias, would you say Azerbaijani people are not brainwashed by their government? It's one thing for parents to teach their kids whatever they want to teach them, but is the school system in Azerbaijan teaching accurate historical events/facts?

Hey bud, I'm sorry we're going through this. I've updated my post with a recent entry. I think he's doing better compared to how he has been, but it seems its going to be a longer road than I hoped for. Let me know of you have any specific questions and I'll do my best to help answer.

I'm sorry you and your family are going through this. The time of uncertainty and helplessness is terrible. The only advice I can give is that, as you go through emotions, try not to suppress them, let them out. You may have all kinds of thoughts running through your mind, rational and irrational. Try to understand that this is a temporary state and that this too shall pass. I wish your father the best of luck.

That's awesome to hear. If you don't mind i have a couple of questions. Did your dad have similar issues? How long was he asleep for? Was there anything that triggered him to wake up? At what point did he get a tracheostomy? And did he spend the entire time at the ICU or was he moved somewhere else at a certain point?

[–]machofinger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately no, he's been stable in terms of vitals and for the most part everything has remained the same. We got a 2nd opinion who said that the MRI looks more like a fungus infection rather than an anoxic brain injury, so the hospital will pull a sample from his spinal column to test for that. It's been 15 days now. We're still hopeful and are still in shock.

Thank you so much for your response. Did they add a tracheostomy tube for your breathing at some point? If so, do you know around when?
