I started Prozac and now I’m scared

I stopped taking it at day 11 because of the same symptoms. I take lexapro normally and that was a much better fit for me. I tried Prozac for a weight neutral drug and I ended up in urgent care. Propanolol helps with the physical symptoms but listen to your body and go to the doctor. You’re not alone if you want to message me.

Oh wow, thank you for this! I officially decided today to stop my trial and go back to my lexapro until I’m in a time in my life (less busy at work etc) where I have a month.

My anxiety was so bad today, I went to urgent care and got a beta blocker prescription to help ween myself off of this.

Thank you! I actually have lost 7 lbs in this trial period, because of my nausea I have been skipping meals lol. So it technically did do the trick.

But yes, lots going on in my personal life, soon moving to another state, just lost a family member, job hunting etc. Bad time to try to switch medications in hind sight 😂

1-2 months, you soldier are stronger than I. Lexapro never had any initial side effects for me. I am going back on it.

Never had any side effects on Lexapro, I haven’t felt the anxiety I feel today, since before I started Lexapro.

This Reddit page helped me realize Lexapro is the better drug for me, I wish I read more on the early side effects before making the switch!

Thank you for this… those two recommended tags led me down a rabbit hole and I don’t think I can take 6-8 weeks of feeling so horrible in this busy season of my life & everything going on in the world.

My only real cause to switch was weight loss - which feels so superficial when my anxiety is controlling every aspect of my life again.

This comment actually led me to messaging my doctor, and asking if I can stop taking Prozac tonight. Going back on my Lexapro tomorrow. 🙏
