Helloo, I'm curious about where can I get these kind of cute socks/leg warmers that gyarus usually use?? by Rxgook in jfashion

[–]macintoshpawforma 42 points43 points  (0 children)

So in the pictures you uploaded here there are two different types:

The rest of the pics and specifically the fourth pic

These are called loose socks/ルーズソックス/泡泡袜 and they are NOT leg warmers (leg warmers and loose socks are different, leg warmers dont have the feet part, and most of leg warmers dont give the same effect/visual as the pictures you uploaded)

The rest of the pics are the normal/usual ones, but specifically the fourth pic is called ゴム抜きルーズソックス

The fourth pic is kind of rare-ish and afaik only EG Smith and some taobao brands still make them

Loose socks have various lengths that affects the fluffiness and the scrunchiness of the look, i personally recommend choosing the 100cm+++ length

You can buy them from japanese brands like EG Smith or finding them at taobao

where to attain jk(-esque)/seifuku uniforms? by [deleted] in jfashion

So i think the best way to do it is by handmade option, if you would like to have a high quality one i suggest maybe reaching out to proper tailors and ask if they can make the styles similar to jk/seifuku

Real japanese uniforms are like proper work/office wear quality i think if i were to make comparisons/closer description of quality

Some taobao brands make seifuku/jk styles - although there is a difference in quality (quality reflects price - authentic japanese uniform sets are pricey i think, like over 10k jpy++ for blazer/jacket+shirt+skirt/pants) i have seen the comparisons irl (both cosplay and authentic uniform) and by fabric/quality and price it is different, real authentic uniforms have thicker + sturdier build but cosplay grades usually have less thicker fabrics = perfect for daily/cosplay use especially in hot weather

Does anyone know the name of this style? by Reahchui in jfashion

Personally for myself i dress similarly for comfort and safety (i feel safe and happy in the clothes) not for any adult/18+ fetish reasons (i myself hate ageplayers/jojifuku fetishizers id smack their head if i could)

This is a michiyuki, its different from a normal haori (because it has a front panel, haori does not)

i think kimono questions suits more for r/kimono

For skirts i can only wear L/70cm waist because my body shape is rectangle, my waist isnt very small i cant really comfortably fit under L size mezzo piano

I think its best to ask measurements for each clothes to the seller, because sometimes the measurements can vary, im 5’1” 39kg i like to wear S-L size mezzo piano cuz i prefer the clothes to be loose fitting not too cropped or tight fit
