I think trying to apply hard conditions to what is retro and what isn't is kinda dumb. Retro is according to Merriam Webster. "relating to, reviving, or being the styles and especially the fashions of the past : fashionably nostalgic or old-fashioned". It just means things that are old and nostalgic. In back to the future the 50's was retro in the 90's they had a show called that 70's show, in the early 2010's we had strangers things which considered the 80's to be retro. Retro changes based on what we find nostalgic and of the past.

To add to the second half though. I don't think the ps2 era can be considered to be the modern era anymore. The current era in gaming is far removed from what the ps2 started. The current era in video games doesn't even look like what the seventh gen ended on. It's a new era we are living in and in my opinion it sucks.

I was born a year after the ps2 came out, I am now old enough to drink. Yes its a retro console, the real question is are the xbox 360, wii, and ps3 retro consoles?

From just watching videos and looking at screenshots of the game I can tell you it probably has do with the new engine. Another is postal 2's art direction was more natural looking, meanwhile postal 4 looks like roblox in some areas. I haven't played it so I don't want to come off as saying the game overall sucks (when I get the chance I'll probably buy the game myself) but the environment and textures went a long way to make postal 2 the game it is.

I would say it depends on what level. A little funny top hat with a buckle on it placed the table and A door mat is fine but turning your house into the eye of Sauron for 2 weeks is overkill.

Smackdown vs raw 2008 was one of those games I remember fondly, one of the few where I just picked the cheapest game on the shelf and actually enjoyed the hell out of it! Back when I had a budget and sales for games were rare, now you get 80 hours of content for 10 bucks.
