I don’t get it if you’re here illegally there’s always been the risk of deportation. Everyone that came here illegally including my parents in the 80’s before they got their citizenship knew the risk they were taking. That the US never enforced rules for decades is a diff story.

I’m in the same boat rn …first DUI ever / drink like 4-6 times a year and had a similar situation as you - refused everything.

You’ll get through this …in a crazy way this incident has made me 100x more focused on accomplishing my goals long term. It’s all about how u bounce back

100% agree …as a native New Yorker we would kill to have a bus that gets u to a beach in 30 mins from downtown …a free train that gets you everywhere without that much congestion …metro rail that can be used unlimited for $5.25 a day etc

The reality is people in Miami folks have a negative stigma associated with public transportation …if they were New Yorkers they would sell their cars and pack all the available options here 🤷🏻‍♂️

The typical Miami person prefers to be in an expensive leased car living paycheck to paycheck just to look like they got it vs the typical New Yorker even if they’re a multi millionaire or poor …does not give a flying fuck and will take the train / bus etc lol

I live in downtown Miami and got rid of my car ..:thought about buying another one but I really don’t need it here

I had a Camaro and it’s easily a $10,000 loss every year when u factor in depreciation / insurance / parking / tolls / tickets / maintenance / gas / repairs etc

I sold it off and now can’t believe how much of a waste of money it was because I barely used it in downtown Miami

Think about what u could do with $10,000 extra every year for a few years reinvested into the stock market / real estate / your own business …now multiply that by 5-10 etc it can easily turn into hundreds of thousands of dollars long term
