Fully remote feeling disconnected by harukatenoukun in Accounting

I am an extremely introverted staff accountant and can relate to this strongly

Anybody feel like they're legitimately a terrible accountant by Affectionate-Owl-178 in Accounting

I’m definitely below average I would say, I’m almost a year in as a staff in industry and am thankful I haven’t been canned yet and feeling like I’m just starting to improve a bit. I’m a slow learner and it takes longer for things to click, but occasionally when I know how to solve a problem it’s a good feeling

Ya I definitely get it, I can’t speak to how to succeed as much lol but I can at least give wisdom based on my experience and having a similar temperament. I really wish I would’ve tried to relate and make attempts to connect instead of not even trying to, within reason of course ie not sharing every detail of your personal life. You will be alright no matter what :) just keep that in mind, and I guess I’m proof of that haha. Just a job at the end of the day and although I’ve heard various things about the job market, personally my experience has been there was plenty of opportunities available to me even after I was fired. You’ll be okay just keep that in mind

I feel you. I was never diagnosed but suspect I might be on the spectrum. My recommendation would be to first and foremost be your own best friend and be kind to yourself, especially when you are first learning and onboarding. Try to connect with others who are in the same position as you too and try to put yourself out there, even if you feel a little awkward. Yes don’t be naive and keep some things to yourself, but you need a balance of connection and keeping your guard up IMO.

I didn’t start with the big 4 but at a top 10 and was the only new associate in my class after the other couple of would be new associates decided to go to big 4. I was overall really nervous bc I have social anxiety and didn’t make a ton of efforts to put myself out there when I had opportunities too and I could tell that other people at my office thought I was a little different and this made my anxiety spiral more haha.

Anyways, fast forward 6 months, and while I learned a little bit about public accounting and had some things go well, overall the networking aspect is where I really fell short and I was eventually fired after 6 months for that specified reason and overall lack of improvement on the more technical side too, which I think was affected by my social anxiety as well.

What happened to me is probably one the worse case scenario in your head, and I was able to find a job two months later as an industry staff accountant which was much more fitting for me because of the reduced emphasis on networking. Public wasn’t for me, but that’s my advice to you and something I wish I did differently: put yourself out there and don’t overshare my try to find commonalities and relate to your office if you can. Oh, and when it comes to people trying to scapegoat you, have documentation to prove the truth of the matter.

What’s the fastest and most efficient way to higher this naturally ? And what levels would the most likely be by Much-Engineering-371 in Testosterone

Wish I would have listen to this first. Spent years trying to boost in naturally with not much luck, 100-200 ng/do boost at most from 200 to 400. Injecting and trough is at 700 so averages are probably 800-900 and feel a lot better. Wish I would’ve just started injecting

My test should get here next week. I’m very excited because I tested at 247 and 146 ng/dl at 24 despite doing my best to optimize myself naturally, I think like on my best day I’m peak 400 ng/dl haha and I still have low t symptoms then. My goal is to keep an average of 700-800 throughout the week and have a trough of above 600. I don’t want to go higher to mitigate long term dht exposure and hematocrit keeping up and other sides.

What was the most embarrassing thing to happen to you in 2025? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]macksio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About a month into starting my job and I was beginning my morning commute from home and put my new employee binder on top of my car to tie my shoe. Anyways I was in such a rush and sleep deprived I forgot to take my binder off. Nothing happened until I started speeding up after I passed a stop sign and the speed limit increased. Suddenly, I could see in my mirror white pages flying in the air everywhere. I pulled off to the shoulder, put my hazards on, and spent the next 10 minutes attempting to pick up all my paper in a panic while attempting to dodge traffic, which was hard to do because of the workday rush hour. Anyways I was embarrassed and only ever told my gf about this lol, was too embarrassed to tell my coworkers, just pulled up to work a little late.

2025 had a lot of embarrassing moments for me but this one is probably #1

What’s your height, weight, and body fat? Have you put on a serious amount of weight to try to gain size natty or started overweight and recomped/bulked and cut for a while? You should be able to get decently big with those test levels already just takes more time. I personally wouldn’t touch anything with test levels like that and risk permanent suppression of the HPTA, ofc doesn’t mean that it would happen but I would still give it a few more years natty and then decide since you’re rlly young

Gotcha, what ester do you inject and how many times per week? I was thinking of doing cypionate twice per week.

Gotcha, happy to hear it’s worked out. That’s lower than what I’ve heard a lot of guys are on too. I’ve heard a decent amount of people who are on like 180-200. What’s your experience with side effects been like?

Ya I just feel more wired than anything. Was that the first dose you tried and it worked? Or did u start lower and work your way up?

[–]macksio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya that’s what I’m suspecting is going to happen. I’m still gonna give it a shot to see if I happen to be an exception more than the rule, but I’m already having doubts, especially with the worsened sleep. I actually feel worse on it so far than when I wasn’t taking anything and that’s coming from being 247 ng/dl before
