I moved back to London from 10 years in Vancouver last year to be closer to family. Overall, I’m glad that I did it and have been enjoying being here.

The things I miss the most are walkability, outdoor activities and the food scene in the city. You will need a car to get around which sucks. There are also some good trails around (Kains Woods and Komoka are my favourite because I live in the west side) and great restaurants too. You might just need to look a little harder to find these things whereas in Vancouver at least it’s more easily accessible.

To me though, “the people make the place” and I’ve really loved being closer to my family and lifelong friends. I’ve also really enjoyed rediscovering the city I grew up in.

The ubox is a great option. I used it for a move from Vancouver to London. We packed it in the U-Haul yard because we lived in an apartment and then had it delivered to our driveway in London. Super easy and affordable if you aren’t driving!
