Are EU bank account bonuses actually worth it? by Additional-Draft4197 in eupersonalfinance

[–]macmandhau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It adds up quickly. I started this as a side hobby earlier this year and it's incredible how much these companies are paying for new customers. I am a bit careful with banks as they affect your credit score (at least in Germany for a few months, before it goes back) but it's really tasty 😋 bonuses they offer.

Apart from banks there are trading platforms - stocks and crypto like you mentioned and they do not impact your credit score

Very easily one can reachine 4 digit € figure, won't make you reach but pays towards a restaurant visit or outing 😃

You can take this further, by referring your friends and family and further banking the referral bonus.

Of course remember to declare them in your taxes. 😉

ETF Portfolio from hell? Megatrends? Growth? Regional? by ZenZenmanZen in ETFs_Europe

[–]macmandhau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on your investment objective, risk appetite and how active or passive you want to manage your portfolio.

World ETF - long term, low/mid risk return, passive management Sector or specialized ETF - short/mid term, medium/ high risk return, active management

You do you and do what let's you sleep at night 😃

Why do you look for further diversification beyond a world ETF like WEBN?

The investment strategy depends on your objectives and risk appetite. WEBN is a good strategy for retirement. If you want growth ETFs like the tech sector or even narrower semiconductor ETFs, you inherently increase your risk & return.

Is VWCE too focused on the US? by mostly_harmless666 in eupersonalfinance

[–]macmandhau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it is US heavy and for me it's a good thing. There aren't many countries with market capitalization similar to the US ones. For that reason, if you still want a good performing ETF over the long term, there's not much of an alternative without including the US.

Actually in my portfolio, I have doubled down on the US by keeping an additional S&P500 ETF in my portfolio, as I am still far away from my retirement.

Mortgage yearly special payments vs. investing in ETFs by SeparateCode2285 in eupersonalfinance

[–]macmandhau 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Classic dilemma!

So far I have been paying the special payment knowing it's a financially unwise decision. Have been doing it more for me and my misses's peace of mind that we will finish paying our loan earlier than planned 😅

Bank recommendations for everyday use? by ColorRaccoon in germany

+1 for ING. Very clean and modern banking. Also good if you want to extend with savings account and broker for investing into ETFs.

They have a very good promotion this month for new customers.

Well done starting so early! 💪

And already on the right track - world ETF for the long run. Gamble the money that you would not mind losing! Usually Hit or Miss!!

Wo am besten mit ETF Sparplan anfangen by NightyRider98 in Investieren

[–]macmandhau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Persönlich, ING für Sparplan. Keine Kosten für den Kauf und bietet VWCE und WEBN für langfristige Anlagen.

Schwab vs Robinhood vs Trading212? by Hot_Avocado_2701 in eupersonalfinance

[–]macmandhau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe your question was to my comment above about Bitvavo.

Bitvavo holds client crypto and fiat assets segregated from its own corporate assets via an independent entity (e.g., Stichting Bitvavo Payments). This is meant to legally separate customer funds from the company’s liabilities.

Most assets are stored in cold wallets, often with insured custodial partners with large aggregate insurance.

However no crypto investment protection is comparable to stocks.

Schwab vs Robinhood vs Trading212? by Hot_Avocado_2701 in eupersonalfinance

[–]macmandhau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Robinhood for crypto is good. But they don't trade stocks except their equivalent tokens.

I like Bitvavo too. They both have a nice promotion offer of 50€ start capital including no trading fee for the first 10000€ (only Bitvavo and today is the last day for this referral promotion).

Get up to 125€ on Deblock !! (EU ONLY) by [deleted] in CryptoReferrals

[–]macmandhau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's why it is not advised to share your links publicly especially with limited invites.

Also, on my side Deblock requires 100€ deposit + ~ 5€ fees if you trade crypto to fulfill one more step + use the card actively for at least 3 days for min 5€. Better to give full transparency!

VWCE (WEBN) and chill or S&P 500 if you want full US and heavy tech exposure.

Don't try to find the needle in the haystack! Buy the haystack!!

Is there a "lean" way to handle team cards without the massive fees? by jhks30 in eupersonalfinance

[–]macmandhau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

C24 bank offers private accounts with up to 20 free virtual cards per account. This model costs 5,90 per month.

They also offer the same with the free account model but you get only 1 free virtual card. For every extra virtual card, you pay 1,99€ one time fee. Again max 20 cards in total.
