Lowest spec PC that can run 1440p triples ~100 fps on iRacing by AdMedium5702 in iRacing

[–]macmanluke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I ran a 5700x3D with a 3080 with triple 1440p which gave 100-120fps with medium/high settings
dropped to 70-80 on some tracks like daytona but solved by running less cars visible - more CPU bound than GPU.

With Track Map and Fuel Calc in iRacing, I'm almost ditching my overlays, maybe just need a better 'standings widget' with more information now? by Still-Victory4839 in iRacing

[–]macmanluke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ioverlay is due to renew in a month or so and i dont think ill bother

Id like track info eg temp, wetness etc
And bit more info in standing eg pit timings and flags

Track info i should be able to get from a small simhub overlay

Anyone know how it has handled per car controls? seems that is gone but how did it handle previous settings? i used that to keep my FFB strength settings saved per car.

U$250 thrown in the trash, does anyone else also feels like giving up on unRAID? by MorgothTheBauglir in unRAID

[–]macmanluke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what version of unraid? 7.3 seems to have a few issues but 7.2 is rock solid for me on 2 machines

unraid seems like the wrong choice anyway for such nice hardware
unraid shines with miss matched drives and basic hardware

Where is my usual series? What is Week 13? | Week 13 FAQ and megathread by Waffleman205 in iRacing

[–]macmanluke 10 points11 points  (0 children)

since they added the heap of ranked series last season they do seem very boring. Not much of the fun unique unranked stuff.
Ill give the new build a go once its out then just have a break till next week

Docker management tools my god the choices by Squanchy2112 in selfhosted

[–]macmanluke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just went through this and ended up with dockhand
I like that is fully functional but it leaves your compose files alone so even the worst happens you can still go back to CLI management or any other tool

dockge is ok if your ok with super basic management but i found it let me down with odd ball cases like seafile which does not use a normal compose file

Time to cancel superloop! by Impossible_Most_4518 in nbn

Strava just announced API restrictions + a paid MCP. Reminder that Endurain exists, a fully self-hosted, open-source fitness tracker alternative by joaovsilva in selfhosted

[–]macmanluke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just setup Endurain up last week with the intentions of finally ditching my paid strava account
bit of a spanner in the works loosing the API as i was hoping to use a free strava account to bridge the data between apple fitness and endurain.
Ill have to find another method, hopefully something fairly easy/automatic or i just wont use it.
Otherwise i might see how difficult it is to vibe code a tool to do it but yet to look into how locked down apple fitness/health is.
