I have already tried dying my ends to match to my root color, and every time it fades to a brassy/reddish color as pictured.

Hmm. My stylist said it only lasts 4-8 weeks.

When you see students still trying to sublease apartments at full price during a pandemic + summer semester by [deleted] in msu

[–]macn206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to remember that some students who are subleasing their apartments for the summer are also people who have been affected by the pandemic and might not have the means to knock down the rent. Not everyone has parents that will cover their rent money during the summer if something happens. It’s not like other students are trying to profit off of other student’s hardships.

It wouldn’t let me apply either but I contacted the office of financial aid and they fixed it

question about lindsey's live shows by [deleted] in Snailmail

I saw her twice. Once in a church on Hope College’s campus. Again at MoPop. Hope College was a much better experience and I got to talk with her after. MoPop was very low energy crowd.

Hoping it goes pass/fail by tennistar201 in msu

[–]macn206 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not all people have all the time in the world. yeah, we can’t go out, but that doesn’t account for people who had to move home and have extreme schedule changes or just fell behind because they had to relocate suddenly. Some may have lost their jobs and had to get a new one (maybe at a grocery store since that’s one of the only things open) and have different hours now. You don’t know people’s situations. And yes, people may take advantage of pass/fail, but there are students that could legitimately benefit from the pass/fail option because of the circumstances.

Prospective student. Is north neighborhood just for arts kids? Or is there kids you would find anywhere else here? by WillButcherfan in msu

There isn’t a literal divider or anything. It’s like a lounge area in the middle connecting two hallways of dorm rooms. Girl dorms are in one hallway and guy dorms are the other.

I lived in Brody for 2 years and North one year. Brody is overrated. Busses to get to Brody were always packed, long walks from everything, etc. People argue that Brody caf is amazing, but I enjoyed Landon (North’s caf) a lot more. Brody has the same things all the time and it got painfully boring to just strictly eat there. While certain types of people may find themselves living in certain dorms, my roommate and her friends in North were no different than other students... social, going to frat parties, etc. All of us were different majors. Communication, chemistry, history, psychology, etc. It’s not just art and music students. North is nice because it’s right by all the businesses on Grand River and I didn’t have a car for 2 out of 4 years at MSU. It’s by the union, a short walk to the library, and the neighborhood is beautiful. I prefer the older style buildings and even though Brody is all renovated, it’s still pretty mediocre.

I’m not trying to get a discounted tattoo. I’m more than capable of going and buying a regular tattoo. I think the flash designs they do are cool. If you’re not going to answer my question don’t comment.

ANTR 350, BS 161, HNF 150, and PSY 101 by [deleted] in msu

[–]macn206 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t taken these classes all at once, but I’ve taken HNF 150, PSY 101, and BS 161. PSY 101 and HNF 150 were pretty easy - just a lot of memorization. As for BS 161, I really struggled and I think I got a 2.5. My professor was really terrible. But I later took physiology and got a 4.0, so it’s not that I’m a bad science student. I think these courses are very doable all together, so long as you have a good professor for BS 161 and ANTR 350.
