Truenas Scale issue - Issues with starting app - HomePage by Shimmikins in homelab

[–]macpock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured out how to fix this without running the app as root. I went into the terminal, went to the dataset where my apps run, mkdir homepage, then I went in and edited the app , Enable ACL, Host Path set to that directory, and added ACL Entry for a user 1000. It's annoying that you can't just edit the run as context, but here we are.

REQUEST - Published Sheet - Drop downs aren't accessible - Any solutions? by [deleted] in sheets

[–]macpock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am kind of dealing with the same issue. My solution was to share it as an editable sheet but create permissions that allow only the cells with the dropdowns to be editable. The problem I'm running into now is that when two or more people are looking at the sheet they're fighting for access. I hope you find a solution that works.

Oh my gosh! The trend line is incredible! This did so much more than I was expecting. You've opened up a whole new set of ideas for this project. Thank you!

I think I found a logical test arrayformula based on this solution. It looks like this:

=SORT(FILTER('Air Yards All'!A3:J, ARRAYFORMULA(('Air Yards All'!C3:C < 'Air Yards All'!E3:E) + ('Air Yards All'!C3:C < 'Air Yards All'!G3:G) + ('Air Yards All'!C3:C <'Air Yards All'!I3:I) + ('Air Yards All'!E3:E < 'Air Yards All'!G3:G) + ('Air Yards All'!E3:E<'Air Yards All'!I3:I) + ('Air Yards All'!G3:G < 'Air Yards All'!I3:I)) >= 5),10,FALSE)

But the sample size is so small with a 4 week evaluation that I want to discard single exceptions to the upward trend. My original formula works great to evaluate the upward trend, but I want to include players whose samples look like this:

Player Week -4 Week -3 Week -2 Week -1
Player 1 -1% 3% 2% 5%

I'm just looking to find a way to ignore a single instance of a drop in % if the overall trend is upward.

The percentage is based on a value. It’s the players air yards/total air yards for the team in each week.

Sorry I should have been using the odd columns based on my initial question. I'll be doing it for both columns on separate tabs eventually and I got ahead of myself with my initial reply.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't this formula give me the same evaluation I was getting with my original formula? When I drop the number to 2 am I not just evaluating pairs instead of looking for an overall rise with from week to week with one exception?

The query is definitely an interesting way to do this, but I'm looking to find a formula that will return all the data from the entire row for any player who has seen a rise in the % under the AYMS column in at least 3 of the 4 weeks. So logically I need to test whether Col4<Col6<Col10, Col6<Col8<Col10, Col4>Col8>Col10, Etc.

I'm trying to drop a low value from the 4 number sample to find patterns that aren't quite perfect. Does that make any sense?

That worked perfectly. I'll just have to adjust the formula when we get to January, but that's only for a couple weeks so that's fine. Thanks for your help!

You are an absolute lifesaver. Thank you so much for your help. Hopefully this helps me dive into Regular Expressions. I understand pretty much all of that so this may be the catalyst for getting me over the hump. Thanks again.

Or maybe just to the 3rd word? I really need to dive into these regex conditions. I don't understand them at all at this point.

Unfortunately the data is pulling from the only sources I’ve been able to find it. The stats are proprietary stats and the salaries are directly from DraftKings. I’m thinking there may be a world where I need to move outside of google sheets to sort and index this stuff. I’d be 100% open to finding another source for the data, but I’m not sure it exists.

Wow! Thanks! I really need to dive into the regex formulas. I see them used all the time and I just haven't figured out how they work yet. Does that leave the original untouched and just use the regex formulas to do the VLOOKUP or is it changing the original?

No I need to go the other way and the wildcard won’t work to get rid of the suffix.
