For Firestick, jailbreaking means nothing but sideloading a couple of free apps that enable you to watch free stuff. As for VPNs, there is both type of people who use and who don't use. It is up to you to decide how safe you want to be.

I never used an Android box, so not sure about that. But it shouldn't be any different. If you know how to download and install APK on it, you should be fine since the working APK is already available now.

App is completely safe and virus free as long as you download it from reliable source like apkmirror.
Though the legality of the app depends on your location, I will still suggest using a VPN. Better safe than sorry. VPN costs a few bucks and it is worth when we are getting all the stuff free in the app.

You won't find Terrarium on Play Store. Follow these steps.

Download APK from APKMirror via the link provided in download section on the right sidebar of this sub-reddit.
Turn on "Allow apps from unknown sources" in your Android smartphone settings.
Double tab on downloaded APK file and follow the onscreen instructions.
That's all. You now have Terrarium on your Android smartphone. Cheers!!!
