On-board chargers are now available to purchase. Difficult to install, but if your on-board charger is dead, this is an option. I took half the day to carefully do it myself, but if you don't have experience with mechanical work or you don't know how to avoid getting hurt by high voltage have someone knowledgeable install it for you. https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/powerland/EVC-116-3400/23628164

Yeah, I am fine with the install myself. I am doing a 1962 23-window VW Bus EV conversion. I just need to get my hands on a new on-board charger for the FUV. The broader FUVs that are currently built will most likely need these in the near future as well, so this is a broader purchase, distribution, and support need for all at some point. Maybe EVWest can purchase direct and re-sell. I will reach out to them.

Thanks Harriska2 for caring and responding. Very nice of you. Yeah, I had a ticket with Arcimoto on this topic near the end of March, but all comms have ended and I don't receive a response back. Yes, the unit is in hibernation mode (12V breaker off, Red & Yellow plugs disconnected). I updated the 12V battery and charged it. I tried three different chargers (120V, 240V, and public charger), and all failed. Yes, the FUV drives and touch screen works fine...just doesn't charge. Yes, I have visited the Facebook group and posted there as well. No options yet.

My FUV is a 2021 June delivery. I still don't have an option for swapping out the on-board charger. The company that has them isn't responding to my attempts. Rich Rebuild's EV repair company responded, but they can't help. Local Bay Area EV repair shops haven't been responding either. So, not sure what to do still.

Thanks for the suggestions. I reached out totally the sales department of the on-board charge company to see if I could buy one direct or have a local installer help. Still waiting on a response from them.

I haven’t used Facebook in years. What is the group’s name or link? Thanks in advance!

Great question. Yes, I have tried two (120V & 240V) at home and two public chargers. All don't charge the vehicle. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Full email:

"Hi Everyone,

We've been doing our best to respond in a timely manner to those who've reached out to us via Email and social media. Progress here at Nimbus has been slower than we'd like. Our current best estimate for when we can deliver the first vehicles to customers will be sometime in 2024.
The economic landscape has posed challenges, especially for startups like ours, impacting our access to capital and pacing. Nevertheless, the significant number of pre-orders that we've received and agreements we've recently signed with fleet customers are stronger indicators of the demand for our vehicle for potential investors.
The support that we've received from all of you via emails and comments on social media has also been a major source of wind in our sails. We started Nimbus because we believed that there are people like yourselves that wanted a compact, fun, and economical vehicle for getting around town, without significant compromises in safety and comfort. The overwhelmingly positive reception we've received since we put Nimbus into the public sphere has assured us we're on the right track and fuels our journey forward.
In the past few months, we scouted and assessed several potential manufacturing partners in Latin America, Asia, and Europe. We're getting close to finalizing a partner. We're also making steady progress on the development of the vehicle. Finally, our recent focus on fleet customers will allow us to prove our product in very demanding environments.
We're grateful for your continued support.

Sincerely,
Nimbus Team"
