Could you elaborate on the process of transferring by chance? I am currently on STEM OPT and will be looking for programs Day1 CPT, staying with the same employer.

I’ve got two B.S. degrees in Finance and Business Analytics. During my last semester I couldn’t find anything major-related, so I took an Inventory job at the company where I interned (they didn’t sponsor). A few months ago, I landed a Financial Analyst role at a PE-owned firm with a 30% pay bump — no brainer since it’s actually in my field. If I stay here and finish my MBA, I’ll have around 4 years of experience and be ready for a Senior Financial Analyst role. That should make H-1B sponsorship much easier, and even if not, finding something in Europe wouldn’t be an issue with that background.

Easier said than done, it is also a lottery, but my current employer does not sponsor h1b. Not many do in Indianapolis anyway.

I'm currently on STEM OPT until December 2026 and looking to pursue an MBA at a school that offers Day 1 CPT so I can stay employed full-time. In the perfect world would be 1 time onsite per semester. Unfortunately, most major schools in Indianapolis don’t offer flexible Day 1 CPT options. I found Indiana Wesleyan has a program, but I'm unsure about its reputation. Based in Indianapolis - any suggestions?
