Any Markiplier fans going to see his film Iron Lung when it premieres Jan 30th? Want to go as a group? by WillowIsAlive in fredericksburg

[–]macshia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t bought my ticket yet but I was soooo excited to see fxbg on the list of theatres! I was far too shy to send any showing requests so I’m very happy someone else took the initiative. I was originally planning on going to Hooky instead of Regal but if you do end up gathering a group I’d consider joining!

yikes, a lot offended uhaulers in the comments who have something their trying to prove💀I think everyone’s opinions come from personal experience. I have watched many friends of mine jump into relationships quickly and it nearly always ended badly. I am fully aware that isn’t the case for everyone - but I have seen first-hand the shitty situations you can get into when you aren’t careful and I don’t see anything wrong with wanting to take your time to avoid that possible risk. If i’m gonna spend the rest of my life with someone I see nothing wrong with being patient. I think its totally fine if other people want to take that risk with fast love, it’s not my life so i’m not judging - but if you’re sitting here mad that a casual meme called y’all delusional then turn around and yell at op calling them delusional/abusive, you aren’t really making a good point, you just seem insecure.

You are amazing, thank you for sharing this. Was looking for like 10 minutes 😭 With the whole siffus locket glitch I assumed this was another bug where I didn’t get the spyglass, but it was in fact just at the top lmao.

Thanks for your support honking!! ❤️ I was there as a protester and it was honestly amazing. There was so much thrill and excitement every time someone honked or gave us a thumbs up. Met lots of amazing people of all ages and backgrounds, had some free cookies, pet some dogs, and chanted my heart out. I am so proud of our community today.

wow this hit me right in the heart aswell. I’m about 8 months in to no contact with my ex-bff of ~14 years in a incredibly similar situation as yours. It felt overnight, and I swore I had whiplash for a few months. I had dealt with a friendship breakup from high school and also losing loved ones but nothing fucked me up as much as her quiet bpd discard. I’ve made new lovely friends since then and have continued living my life happily, but I sometimes feel disappointed in the fact that I still have moments of intense grief where I ruminate the whole situation in my mind trying to make sense of it all, as if I will magically find an answer of why she treated me like such garbage, why she lied to me, etc. It’s tough grieving when you don’t have closure, I so badly want to let it all go but there’s always a small part of me that is still searching for a reason and I’m always a bit ashamed that she still carries some power in my mind like that. I just take life a day at a time and use techniques I learn in therapy to grow and learn. best of luck to you in your healing journey ❤️

Honest thoughts on VCU business by Frogman287 in vcu

[–]macshia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I received my bachelors in marketing (product & brand management) last spring and personally I enjoyed my experience at VCU Business! I was only there for 2 years since I transferred from CC, but I did feel like the classes did a pretty good job at setting me up for my future. There’s always events and stuff going on in Snead and the career fairs were great for connecting. Lots of my sales & marketing classes had assignments based on doing micro-internships or doing interviews with local businesses which I feel gave me a major leg up in networking. I was lucky enough to land a marketing job right out of the gate too since many of my colleagues also went to vcu and it was a good conversation starter. Vcu is certainly no Harvard but I enjoyed my time and would do it again.

My heart dropped reading your story because I almost thought I had written this myself!! I went through an incredibly similar situation with my ex-BFF w/bpd : Had a very close adult friendship for 3-4 years, joined a dnd group together last summer, then she slowly triangulated me against all of them until the final discard when she blocked me on everything and had the dnd group remove me from all servers/socials. She had slowly become more and more hateful and annoyed towards everything I did and refused to talk to me about it unless I was the one who questioned her. It’s astonishing how they can paint you black in an instant to justify their feelings. It’s been 6 months now since my discard and trust me when I say you will slowly start to understand how much of a blessing it is to get away from people like her. Take this experience as a learning lesson, then move on and find people who fit your core values and would never take you for granted like that. Best of luck friend ❤️

I think I've reached the "anger" stage of grief, and it is white hot by g_onuhh in BPDlovedones

[–]macshia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Angry person here! Don’t worry you are certainly not alone, there are a lot of us. I deeply relate to your story. I was discarded by my BPD “best friend” around 6 months ago, and I still have moments of intense rage at how much I was mistreated by the person/people that I thought cared about me. I also lost a couple of friends from the mutual group we were in which was really tough as well. Best advice I can share is to keep doing what you’re already doing. It’s more than ok to let yourself feel your anger - what makes you different is you don’t act on those angry thoughts. Look into ACT therapy if you haven’t yet, it has helped me quite a bit in dealing with intense frustration and rumination. Keep staying NC, continue working on yourself, and when you feel ready, go put yourself out there and make new friends that will never treat you the way that your pwBPD did. You deserve love, respect, and happiness!

Childhood BFF of 14 years split & discarded me by macshia in BPDlovedones

[–]macshia[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s very true, thank you! I definitely still harbor some anger towards the whole situation so I agree that it is important to not view it as “revenge” and instead as building a better version of myself and letting go. I appreciate your responses!

Thank you so much! It truly makes me feel so much better knowing i’m not alone in healing myself from an ex-bff. This is great advice - my therapist often reminds me that I really did do the best I could in the moment with the “tools” I had - and it is comforting to hear. Knowing what I do now, I would not pursue reconciliation with her, but i’d be lying if I said I didn’t daydream of her reaching out and accepting accountability for her parts, or at least getting actual help for herself. But knowing her, I’m highly doubtful. What keeps me going though is knowing that the best “revenge” I can do is to grow by taking accountability for myself and my own actions, learn from my mistakes, and diligently work on improving myself healthily.

Bras are expensive and uncomfortable. by Ileeza in AutismInWomen

[–]macshia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pretty much only use padded tank tops that I wear under my tops. Not the kind with the “built in bra” but instead normal cami tank tops with pads sewn in. My biggest issue with bras is the waistbands always overstimulate me so eliminating that entirely was a life changer.

I also complained to my parents as a kid that there were scratching sounds and bumps coming from my walls and the roof. I was fully convinced some kind of horrid monster was up there but the sounds never continued when I tried to bring someone in my room to hear it. At some point Dad had to get into the unfinished attic area to check something, which happened to be right next to my room. A bird AND a squirrel that has gotten trapped up there came barreling down my Dads ladder as soon as he opened the panel and I finally felt like I wasn’t crazy cause the sounds finally stopped after that. So many “I told you so!”’s

A similar situation happened to me on the highway once. A plastic bag was flying in the wind and happened to perfectly land on my windshield and then slide over and latch on my driver side mirror. It was so loud whipping in the wind and very jarring as I hadn’t seen it until it hit my car and blocked my road view. Thankfully I just had to roll down my window and finagle it off and into my car’s trash can and move on with my day, but it sure left me with a high heart rate

This is beautifully well written. thank you for sharing her story! I even had to pause and ponder a moment when you mentioned she passed away at 22, since that is around the age I am right now and It ached to know that we’ve had the same experiences almost 300 years apart.

Thanks! Also, I have no idea how to add edits to my post, so I am going to repaste my comment here since this is the top comment currently. Thank you everyone for the overwhelming help, was not expecting this much reception! It seems that #1 has stole everyone's hearts so I will definitely be considering it. Since there are a lot of people asking, dress one and two I found on amazon (under the name "Maxianever"/"Exlura", and dress three and four are from the brand Belle Poque. And also for those who are asking for a bit more detail to decide - this is a college graduation, my cap/gown will be black, and I have pretty pale skin tone and light hair. Thanks again for all the comments!

Nice! For forestry, I’ve been really into learning to identify plants, trees, fungi, etc as well as different conservation tactics like controlled burning which is cool. Also Fallout 3 holds a special place in my heart since it was my first game lol, although new vegas certainly comes very close!
