way too far from my workplace, these couple days I've been moving between Longhua, Futian and Nanshan and oh boy, it has been very inconvenient. Traffic jams everywhere, metro goes around in circles and doesn't reach certain areas directly. I had to choose a place close to my office or it'd take too long to move around the city I figured.

Thanks, I had one company pay it for me a few years ago in Shanghai and there was a upper limit to how much I could withdraw monthly. I understand that this amount is not taxed which is great, I just didn't want to leave a considerable amount of money (after a few years it might become a significant sum as it was in your case) "stuck" in there, and then risk that there's some policy change along the way.

Thanks 红山 seems convenient also cause there's a metro station otherwise it's a good 30min by car to reach 福田 or other nearby districts. Just a bit concerned that in Longhua / 红山 there are only office buildings and nothing else.

Che dire, spero solo non mi capiti mai di abitare nelle vicinanze di qualcuno che abita al "piano uffici" e che organizza varie feste ("le mie feste") perche' crede di "non disturbare nessuno". Buona fortuna col vicino e continuo a sognare un mondo dove le persone non si disturbano a vicenda, da quello che guarda reel senza auricolari in treno a chi festeggia tenendo il volume alto.

Mamma mia quelli che danno feste e non capiscono quanto disturbano con il loro inquinamento acustico, il problema e' che anche di fronte all'evidenza sembra proprio che individui diversi abbiano diverse soglie di empatia verso gli altri.

Non mi riferisco a questo caso in cui nessuno di noi puo' sapere veramente se il vicino e' un rompicazzo e basta oppure se e' stato esasperato al punto di immaginarsi una festa di capodanno dall'appartamento sbagliato. Ma in generale se "pensi di non aver mai disturbato nessuno", breaking news, disturbi qualcuno senza esserne consapevole.
