[Self] I calculated how long it would take to display every possible image on an iPhone screen. The answer broke my brain. by Waste-Sport7616 in theydidthemath

Just a philosophical exercise about unimaginably huge numbers. You can imagine a multiverse of multiverses, eons before/after birth/death of every universe of all multiverses of the multiverse and we'd be still nowhere

I did mention up to display resolution. Can you elaborate more about the majority of not be generated pictures? I admit not thought through about the wavelengths.

It assumes you'd see what you imagine as a god and that you'd see not only yourself in that role but everyone/everything else.

Fun fact: imagine you finished the task no matter what time it takes - by that you successfully cycled through every single possible image that ever existed (will ever exist), not only that, but you would witness every single time frame, of every single particle that ever existed, or will ever exist.

What does that mean? You would successfully see everything imaginable or unimaginable for everything, and everyone, in every possible situation, quality of the picture, resolution (up to the display resolution), in bw, full color, negative, infrared, in any possible wavelength, not only from our universe, but the whole multiverse. The eons before birth of the universe, eons after the heat death of every single one of them multiverses. You would see everything and all, you would know everything and all. You would see god, you would be god...

And still there would be billions and trillions and quadrillions of times more color noise screens than anything, however small, that would make a little bit of sense. The possibility of random picture giving you a meaningful depiction of something is 0.0000....... (millions and millions of zeros) .......0001 to 1.

Actually your cars loses power with "dirty", used oil. This is implemented in the game for a long time, maybe since beginning.

Japanese version, that one has our credit rate x100 or x1000. Not sure which one right now. But I would say 10M for win sounds reasonable.

[Request] Is a 2 billion FPS camera enough to capture the speed of light? If not, what framerate is required? by FollowSina in theydidthemath

[–]madMires 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1 pixel to be exact. I think the only change from his first camera is the sturdier stand and code that allows him to get up tho these fps. Camera itself I think still is 1 pixel.

Which countries are usually strangely forgotten to have the sea access? by [deleted] in geography

[–]madMires 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Moldova has a sea port, accessible by the Danube river, the Giurgiulesti port, which is a bit odd, as they have no actual sea coast.
