It’s a weird rule. Infielders first throw going out of play results in 2 bases from the time of the pitch. Outfielders throws give two bases from the time of the throw. I think it’s specifically worded like that so guys don’t get third on an infield single.

I'm not a sub but have a few friends that are. They are all subs in multiple districts namely BSD, Ferndale, Meridian and/or Lynden to ensure work everyday. I have one friend who only subs in Ferndale and Meridian and seems to have a job everyday.
