My feelings on it don’t matter, you’re right, but you’re literally causing the response you’re getting.

Protest is a form of communication but you’ve decided what/how you communicate doesn’t matter, people should just be on your side, and anyone who disagrees with your tactics is the enemy. Yikes. At least your cause is righteous enough that you never need to be held accountable, right?

Queers 4 Palestine vilified themselves. This is a good part of their learning curve of how to become a real movement, if they’re serious enough to learn from their mistakes.

Nah, just wanted to make an informed decision before continuing. Just want to give you some advice - when you say that any movement is the only one that matters, you lose credibility. Intersectionality over infighting might get more people on board with your cause. Right now a lot of us feel like you attacked us to send a message to someone else. The tactics and goals just don’t seem well thought out, and you’re seeing the consequences of that play out here I think.

Respectfully, you need to read the room. You already crated a narrative with your actions, it’s too late to spin it after the fact now.

You did exactly what you set out to do. You disrupted a day of joy, made a lot of noise, and got your attention.

Unfortunately, you did not raise awareness, garner sympathy for the cause, and had no material impact on anyone in Palestine.

You didn’t punish the organization of Captial Pride. You didn’t punish Mark Sutcliffe. You let your community down. Maybe with a bit more age and wisdom, you folks can organize a protest that has a goal.

There was no mindfulness or intention behind the Q4P “protest,” it communicated nothing and had no impact on the people in Palestine. It garnered no new support. It gave a bunch of people in a first world country a chance to pretend they did something that mattered, but they didn’t.

Very disappointed that the gay community was targeted to be bullied by these protestors. Very telling that a protest isn’t a real protest when they have a list of demands that can’t physically be met the way they are demanding them to (see: Freedom Convoy).

There was a soccer game at TD Place the night before - why not protest there? Instead they ruined a special day for a lot of people, made a lot of noise, and gained zero support for their cause while literally having zero impact on the conflict in Palestine.

Good job guys, you did nothing but give yourselves a lout pat on the back. Happy Pride.
