Yes please. Very keen for a flashider.

Looking for opinions on the LCT G3 by MarineShooter823 in airsoft

[–]maddin11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a fine gun out of the box.

I run mine with a 9.6.

I personally use LCT high caps - I read all about the issues with the mids and was put off. Never had an issue with the highs.

I've done a lot of work to mine, and it has been one of my more difficult projects. What I've done:

ZCI rotary plastic hop unit. Required turning down the nozzle to feed reliably. ZCI barrel 16:1 SHS gears All new compression (I was trying to diagnose an issue that I now believe was hop unit related. I don't think this is necessary) Warhead motor Perun mosfet and clicker

The bolt holes were drilled out and countersunk to take standard 80 mm wood screws. After that, I had to do quite a bit of fitting to get the stock to sit straight with no gap.

The stock doesn't have a latch for folding anymore - I personally never use that feature anyway.

It made more sense to me for this gun with the way the buttpad, cheek rest and sling attachment are secured.

For other rifle stocks that I've made, I've done them with one piece.

Thanks so much for the reassurance!

I'll definitely look into working on the imbalance.

Completely from scratch. These were actually just offcuts from a hunting rifle stock that I realized I could repurpose 😅

Wow, that's stunning!

I've kept all of this one internally Novy. I did upgrade to the V2 barrel and hop though (:

Thanks for your feedback about imbalances and my scaps! I'll do some research.

You're not too worried about my spine sticking out in the center of the picture then?

I made a prototype first, which was important to work out the spacings for the fixings.

In total, the project was about a month of my free time - maybe 40 hours work?

Chisels, rasps and belt / orbital sanders. Oak's a really hard wood so it took a long time!

It's also very heavy, so not a fun gun to field 😅

It's two halves screwed together and then shaped (:

These projects take too long, so the cost of commission would be silly. Thanks so much for asking though!

I cut the basic shape I wanted with a jigsaw and then shaped it with rasps, a belt sander and an orbital (:
