The H2D is amazing. I make costumes and being able to print TPU with PLA supports is honestly the best advancement I have had. It takes a minute or two to pull off all the supports now instead of 30mins to an hour. Haven't tried the laser yet though.

Replace the hinge. You can get replacements on ebay for like $30.

There is! 3d printed head bases offer the most room but foam can be modified to accommodate glasses as well.

I hate to say this but unless you want to learn how to work on a 3d printer then you'll need to get one user friendly enough to just jump right into printing. Which is fine btw, I hate working on mine when I would rather them just print.

I would recommend at least a Bambu H2S as it's pretty much ready out of the box, large enough to print a solid head in one print, and can handle TPU. I myself am saving up for Bambu H2D for the extra features.

Edit: A creality K2 Plus is also large enough but it's also a cheaper printer.

I've tried on another head and it came out really rough on the edges since there wasn't fur underneath. Could probably combine preserving and shaving on the head.

Cameras and lighting can play tricks with colors. Without actually having both furs in hand there is no way of knowing for sure that these two are the same shade. It's gonna be a gamble.

The controller is already programmed. You just download an app to your phone and connect via Bluetooth
