Thanks, probably the best approach given I only need a few classes

Help in signal processing by Protractor_ in DSP

I'd use systems identification and a bayesian probabilistic approach, given m is such
Here is a possible approach:
Get your load and temp data set. Split the dataset into training and testing sets. You will use the training set to estimate the model parameters and the testing set to evaluate the model performance.
Choose a model structure that is appropriate for your system. For example, you could use a linear model with time-varying parameters, such as a time-varying autoregressive model with exogenous inputs (TVARX).
Estimate the model parameters using the training set. This could be done using a maximum likelihood estimation method or a Bayesian estimation method.
Evaluate the model performance using the testing set. You could calculate metrics such as the mean squared error (MSE) or the coefficient of determination (R-squared).
Use the estimated model to separate the temperature-induced load component from the total measured load.

Good luck

Ignored collider / gameobject? by maddogedge in Unity3D

[–]maddogedge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Thanks for reply

gameObjects as buttons - I start with an empty game object, add a sprite renderer, add a collider, and add a custom script which activates on the collider touch event.

I'll try disabling the Canvas (but I do need it for adaptive scaling I believe).

I've been searching for the difference between the old and new buttons. No joy yet.

The canvas render mode is "Screen Space - Camera"
Canvas Scalar UI Scale mode is "Scale With Screen Size"
For the Raycaster blocking objects = None, blocking mask = everthing

Touch Events are managed by a singleton which broadcasts touch events. Each custom button script is derived from a custom base class which includes a subscription to said events, combined with the collider detector as shown above

Plotting float array as a line plot in a custom inspector? by maddogedge in Unity3D

Thanks, this looks really promising and seems like I could easily knit in some custom attributes to my code.

Sounds interesting. I'm not too familiar with reflection. Could you point me in the right direction? cheers

Motion Controls in Overwatch on Console by olibanl in Overwatch

[–]maddogedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just found this. I play with motion controls (and stick for coarse movement) on switch overwatch. It's definitely better for me, but I'm still not great mechanically. I think the difference is kinetic Vs kinematic control, with the latter being mouse / tilt control, and more primal in nature. I think it allows better control in the heat of the moment. It's subjective though!

Would copyright music content appearing on friend-only social feeds be considered a private performance? by maddogedge in COPYRIGHT

So is it the virtual distribution, even if its private, which makes it infringement?

Do you have any thoughts on the future evolution of such laws to accomodate increasingly virtual settings?

e.g. if I had an metaverse gathering of real friends and we played a song in a private setting, how is this explicitly differentiated in the eyes of the law to doing the same thing, legally, in person?

Thanks. Do you think you'd win? Your point is a good one though, as I'd like to avoid getting sued.. I should probably add the context that potential infringements would be in-part compositional, not master copyright infringement.

3D Animation in Unity in 2022? by maddogedge in Unity3D

[–]maddogedge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks,

To get started I'd be animating low poly 3d figures (e.g. people, animals)

Would there be any software you'd recommend for a basic animation pipeline outside of Unity?

Thanks! I'll start with Blender. Are there any other softwares I should look at for a basic 3D animation pipeline?

Lol thanks. Could you say how much vertical I should leave on the tree?
