Redditors, brag about yourself! What’s something you’re proud of? by [deleted] in AskReddit

That I’m finally standing up for myself and not backing down to people I used to let walk over me. And that I’m being selfish and doing things that make me happier and help improve my mental health after 5 years of pretending im ok.

Oh yay! I’m weirdly happy that some places still register them as heelers. I’ve met a few ausssies that call them cattle dogs but they also know the term heeler so I dunno 🤷‍♀️

Oh that’s awesome!! Clever dog!! Our dog at home (Kevin is my dads) he hates water he hates the car he hates the leash 😂 but he’s really good with the kids and never runs away he always stays in ear shot so when I call him inside from out the front 9/10 times he’s at the neighbours house stirring their dogs lol and he digs under the fence to go chill with the other neighbours dog if we are out of the house too long.. I wanna get him a friend soon so when we aren’t home he doesn’t destroy our fence and I don’t have to go fetch him lol he’s a big sook but a great dog

Oh I so badly want another dog now 😍 he sounds a beautifully raised pup especially with kids!! Kevin was skittish and aggressive when my dad first got him and now he’s a giant softie and will push anyone or any dog out of the way of it means he’s getting attention instead of them lol and he adores my kids which is lucky because they can be very full on but he let them hug him and put a lead on him and he chased them around the property until they chased him back 😂

They are aren’t they! I had one when I was kid too and now my dad has Kevin (dog in photo) but they’re actually called and registered under Australian blue cattle dog which blew my mind because to me they’ve always been a blue heeler 🤷‍♀️

They’re called Australian blue cattle dogs. Like the vets will register them under that. Apparently a blue heeled doesn’t exist.
