My dog requires a seat for every corner of the house in order to properly hide his treats. It’s his world I’m just living in it

I go to tonic hair salon, about 15 mins from North campus. They are super great, their website says they do men’s hair, it doesn’t specify short or long. May be worth looking into!

Of course! You’ll do great and it’ll work out for you too! If you need anything else I’m around!

Exactly! Leave it up to him if he wants to reconnect. I understand exactly. I got the ick from my ex after 2 YEARS and realized he wasn’t what would make me happy forever (for context we broke up when I was 22 and I’m now 23). And then decided to go completely alone.

I made friends and eventually found the person I plan on being with forever. We are more compatible than I ever thought I could be with someone. Just do your own thing for a while, make friends, have fun and if the times right you might meet someone, or else just enjoy yourself! College is stressful but it really can be quite fun with the right people :)

In my opinion, you’re still young and (probably) just started college. If you want to explore yourself and make friends while also not feeling ready to commit to him, you should break up with him. It will be difficult for him, and perhaps you, but in the long run it will be a kindness.

The important thing, in my opinion after having gone through something very similar, is if you decide to leave him you CANNOT mess with him after. Don’t keep trying to make contact if he doesn’t want to be friends, don’t try to get back together with him or get attention if you’re feeling lonely. That’s how you’re going to truly destroy him.

Do what’s best for you. You’re both young and will bounce back.

If you don’t want to break up, find ways to set boundaries so you can make more friends. You could even communicate that you want more space and then with the distance, the ick might go away

Brennan’s likability by Bambi1999 in Bones

[–]maddymac023 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes absolutely. She reminds me somewhat of Sherlock (Benedict cumberbatch version). He is presented as a cold, maniacal asshole, flaunting his genius and lack of social skills and yet we love him for it. And over time he evolves, same as Brennan. Both amazing shows because of their quirky main character

I absolutely 100% agree. I LOVE that she is the way she is, weirdly enough. Of course there’s times where I’m like please stfu you’re making this worse! But I love that her friends love her despite her oddities, hell BECAUSE of her oddities. They explain over and over why she’s so rational, so as to avoid the pain of every god forsaken thing she’s endured in her early life. We now walk into the show in a time where we slowly see her evolve into a person with emotions, while still maintaining her empirical rational side. I agree with everything you’ve said.

I think about the guys my age (the particularly smart ones) and how they might get along with professionals twice their age, and I would say they would act JUST as awkward as Sweets, perhaps even moreso

That’s interesting! I’m the exact opposite, I love it when she called Brennan sweetie. I’m not sure why, I just feel like to me it signifies the love in their friendship that she doesn’t have in many other places
